Default Scalp Value Calculator

http://www.sbrforum.com/Betting+Tool...alculator.aspx

How accurate is this calculator? When I do manual calculations of the example below I don't get profit on both outcomes.

For example, if one book were offering the Yankees to win against the Blue Jays at -150, and another book were offering the Blue Jays to win against the Yankees at +155, then for every $100 you bet on the Yankees, were you to bet $65.36 on the Blue Jays, you'd guarantee a risk-free profit of $1.31 or 0.791%.

You are doing something wrong during your manual calculations. What you wrote above is correct.

$100 at -150 (100*100/150) returns 66.67 for a profit of $1.31 ($66.67-65.36)
and $65.36 at 155 (65.36*1.55) returns 101.31 for a profit of $1.31 ($101.31-100).

Joe.
