Kelly criterion with with lossing percentage

    Hi guys

I was wondering if the kelly criterion can be used when you have a lossing porcentage but with odds of 2.0 + in decimal, I am more interested in aply this to soccer betting, in especific in to game that have balanced odd for boths sides, this means that I will have in average a winning % of 33-36, it may seem bad but maybe with the paying 2+ odds the numbers can adjust as if I was betting on the NFL with -110 us odds and with and winning record a bit over 50 %.

Hope you can help with this.

Yes. You can use Kelly at any odds, provided that your expected winning % is higher than the implied probability of the odds you are getting. Have you tried this? http://www.sbrforum.com/betting-tools/kelly-calculator/

Normaly I will be getting odds of around 2.5 and with the mentioned 33 -36 % winning pct. Will this work?

I'm not sure where you are getting at, but with odds of 2.5 you need at least 1/2.5 = 40% to win. So anything less would mean a bet of 0% of your br.
