Default Hedging for 5x Rollover Cash???

I just posted in the BTP area but realized this might be a question for the Think Tank.

Should I hedge for a BTP payout tonight (I realize I prolly will not get an answer tonight)? A prick loss will net me about $170 in 5x rollover cash and of course all I have to hedge with is real cash. Assuming I am a 50/50 bettor should I wager "real money" to secure gain of real money or "5x money?"

What calculations must I do to explore this? Any explanation in lay speak would be appreciated!

You need to ask yourself what the value of $170 in 5x rollover cash is to you.

If you're going to be placing many very small bets at or around 4.55% vig with the intention of "playing it safely" then it's going to be worth around $131.

Yay. Before I saw this, I found your post from '05 about rollovers and got $131.325... What other determinations do I need to make?

Perhaps the biggest issue is the extent to which the ~$131 is meaningful to your bankroll.

The correct answer is probably 131 doesn't mean anything
