Default Why do most books not allow you to make parlays with quarters?

I don't see any reason not to. The only ones I am aware of that do are The Greek and 5 Dimes.

Any theories?

You're right, as long as parlays are not same game, there is no reason not to and the books would bebefit from more sucker action. So to answer your question, I don't know.

Oh and credit wagering allows those parlays too, but just $50 max.

I have never seen an NBA quarter listed there, and NFL they have first quarter only listed today.

I don't understand this either and wish more books gave the option.

NFL first quarters are parlayble though, which they are not at many other places. And they usually have all four quarters for Monday night games.
