Default Baseball double header

We always hear the broadcasters say that sweeping a double header is tough. If we look back at historical data, how tough is it? If the lines do not jump significantly after the first game ends, and double headers are indeed more likely to be splitted, there should be an opportunity here. Thank you for your insight.

I am not sure about this so someone will have to verify it, but I recall looking over a report on this not too long ago.

I believe that doubleheader sweeps occur more frequently than do doubleheader splits or that taking the underdog in both games is a more profitable proposition than betting both favorites in the doubleheader. Someone will need to verify this.

I have a link for some baseball sytems/articles so if you would like xyz, feel free to PM me if you want additional information.

I recall reading the same type of stats on doubleheaders you mentioned. Can you possibly share that link with me also?

I don't have stats on doubleheaders handy, but I feel quite confident in stating that most broadcasters are retarded when it comes to math & stats.

I don't know the exact numbers myself, but according to Frankie "Big Salami" Solozzo, "If the HOME team lost GM1 they were 65% winners in GM2 of a double header".

two double headers were on monday. pit/atl and tor/cle. pit won the first game but lost the second game and cleveland won the first game but lost the second. i had atl in the first game but lost then doubled up on the second and came away with the win. i had cleveland in the first game and toronto in the second so i capped that series right. i think double headers split more often than not because the loser of the first game is very motivated to not lose the second, its like a pride thing. the winners of the first game will more likely be more laid back for the second game because in a sense they did their job already.
