    Fantasy Sports and Louisiana

Moving back to Louisiana next month.

    I have a FanDuel account.

FanDuel doesn't do business with Louisiana because of their archaic gambling laws.

Seems like in Louisiana you can buy tickets to their state lottery, or visit one of their dozens of casinos, or go to the track and bet on some horses, but you can't participate in fantasy sports for money.

Thinking about opening up a PO Box in the Texas town I am living in now and not change my address with FanDuel, or ESPN for that matter (still dreaming about hitting big in their Streak for the Cash contest).

Think I can pull this off?

Will FanDuel send a check to a PO Box?

BTW If I do cash out, it will be about a 6 hour drive to pick up the check, so it will have to be a substantial amount. PO Box rental can't be much more that $10 a month.

    Thoughts and advice please!

    Thanks

Hmm, not sure about the POBOX thingy. But if you have a paypal account open it with your Texas address and just say all corespondence by email instead of mail. The Fanduel money goes too your Paypal account, than if you wish to transfer from there goes to your bank or a paypal DC last I checked.

That is a rough situation. Odd that Louisiana doesn't allow that. Good luck.

Asked FanDuel about sending checks to a PO Box, and they said no.

Going to have to look into the PayPal thing.

casino and Lottery are easy for politicians to skim money off of, fantasy games are harder.

I hit some semi-big pots before $200-$300. I'm sure I will again since I am a daily player.
