Only 2 weeks until Iron Man 2 opens and the start of the summer movie season.Some books usually offer O/U's starting at this time.I hope to make some $$ on these if they are offered,so I thought about opening a thread about it.These plays(if any) will be in my entertainment thread.

Bet ed last year offered o/u on flicks starting in may...
Intertops always has betting on props,but with 4 choices usually they offer little value.
Bookmaker has been known to offer some as well.


A few quick words on some flicks this summer..

Iron man 2....OVER,OVER whatever the total

Sex in the city 2...will make a crapload,once again a sequel,look at the over

Toy story 3...15 years of fan base to go from and a pixar film..lots of $$$,i couldsee the o/u set at 130+ opening weekend...no value? added intangible of 3-D..

shrek 4..same as TS3..overvalued...obviously will make a huge amount,in 3-d as well,so added income

Eclipse...if it opened on friday this would be a no brainer but with a wed opening could be super front loaded and make 100+ wed and thursday but less on the weekend..will see..all depends on the number..

Any other opinions welcomed on ANY movie..

Wonder if we will have a sleeper hit like the hangover last summer...Magruber?

Boscoe I saw that,the key here is that Eclipse opens on a wednesday and all the other movies open on friday.New moons midnight box office was staggering and that movie was so front loaded,it fell alot from wed-thu making over 100 mil to fri-sat making alot less.If all these flicks are for fri-sat then toy story is as close to a lock as you can get,with the Added BO of 3D(10-15%).I sometimes wonder if the folks at BEt ED even know how to cap movies..
