You should have bet with me. I would easily take 15-1 that Chris, Kat or Taylor go this week.

    ???

Chris and Kat have both been in bottom 3. Their polling numbers are not strong. It's unlikely that any of them go this week, but not so unlikely that you have a good bet.

It has been mentioned all over the place that they put
Chris and Kat in the bottom 3 for dramatics.

I think so. Everyone seems to think that Paris might
be kicked off. I think even though Elliot has had
some great performances he will still be the next one
    to be voted off.

It already won smart guy. Go check out Pinnacle and
    see that

Paris and Kellie are the only ones that will be kicked off.
Everyone else is 25-1 or higher.

    Also check out www.dialidol.com

This bet is already a winner. Who cares if I only make
$18 I'll take it. This was one of those no sweat at
    all bets.

It wasn't free money, and you didn't have the best of it.

I'll give you +200 on Elliot going home this week, any stakes.

As much as you try to be negative. I have to burst your bubble and
mention that the post you quoted was from 21 hours ago. Sorry.

Someone can change their mind especially after seeing who
got booted. The bet won and I still have to explain.

Only reason why I posted it was for someone who
wanted to make an easy dollar or two. Bet had 0%
    chance of losing.

    imgv:

It was thinking like this that ultimately bankrupted Long-Term Capital in '98.

There's a great book out there called Fooled by Randomness by Nassim Taleb that deals with, among other things, the so-called "black swan" effect made famous by the economist and philosopher John Stuart Mill.

The general idea is this: You may have seen hundreds of white swans over the course of your life without ever having seen a single black swan. This might lead you to logically conclude that black swans simply don't exist. However, it only takes seeing one black swan to completely lay bare such a hypothesis.

Similarly, you can place bets on hundreds of these chalky events not losing a single one. But it only takes one loss, just one loss at the right odds and at the wrong stake, to destroy not only your theory but your your entire bankroll as well.

Tread lightly imgv, for black swans do exist, and I've certainly seen them many more times than I care to admit.

Anyway, it's a great book by a great guy. Fooled by Randomness. Check it out.
