The Devil Wears Prada - 16.5 million?
The over and under on this movie is 16.5 million. Pinnacle has the Over at -158 and the Under at +142. I haven't read any of the trade publications about this movie but my initial feeling is telling me to take the under; the fact that you can get positive odds makes me like the under even more. I mean when was the last time a Meryl Streep movie did more than 16.5 million in the opening weekend?

This is a true chick flick that they have really been advertising. Remember, you still have Cars, Click and Superman to contend with so maybe the under is the play here.

Oops... I already went the opposite way on this one. I took the over at -150. It's just such a low number. I project at least a $20 million opening.
Like Ill said, it is a chick flick but I've seen enough ads to think there's heavy marketing behind it & high reviews don't hurt its chances. It's currently rated at 84% vs 76% for Superman at RottenTomatoes.

This is amazing. Pinny now has the over at +144 and the under at -160. I'm still liking the under. I think this movie will do between 14 & 15 million. I wish I would have hit the under harder when Pinny was giving good odds. Oh well...he who hesitates is lost.

2) The Devil Wears Prada $27,000,000
3) Click $19,400,000
4) Cars $14,035,000
5) Nacho Libre $6,186,000

I had a very small bet on the under which looks like got crushed. I am very surprised this movie took in almost double the projected number.

Me too, I'm not interested in watching this at all. Anne Hathaway's already gotten naked in "Havoc", so I won't need to watch any of her movies anymore

I'm shocked by this result as well. I don't anyone that was projecting that high a number. I think this movie opened in over 2,800 theatres...that's huge.
