Pags is one of the best colllege football cappers on any forum, and he posts his plays for free here very early, shortly after the opening lines come out Sunday evening. If you can bet early and get his lines, you probably can't go wrong.

I had the worst year of my life in NFL and CFB last year, but you may want to follow my College Baskets and NHL plays.

He's a college football capper. He puts in about 110-120 hours a week capping college football games. Last year I went out to visit him and study NCAAF with him. He's got volumes and volumes of tape he watches on these teams and coaches. He's got guys with whom he speaks to across the country on a daily basis too about the games.

He knows college football like the Pope knows the Lord's prayer.

Less than a month until the season kicks off.

Best of luck this year, pags.

LVSC usually has lines up by 5:00 EDT. Bookmaker/Betcris is the first to put out their line in the offshore world.. Eventually Pinnacle follows in about an hour and then other books will have them up a few hours later.

Coach does a great job in identifying weak lines when they are posted, but you have to be very quick to get them. It's not uncommon for Coach to have a game or two a week that he's beat by 3 or 4 pts the closing number.

Either 5, 7, or 3 a week. He makes about 8-12 weekday plays as well during the season.

If I remember correctly, the first few weeks he'll make 5 plays and then when he gets a better feel for the teams he'll make 7 plays a week. Eventually the lines become sharp and he goes to 3 a week. All told, he makes about 100-150 plays a year and hits at a very high percentage. He's not an action junkie and often times he'll pass on most games. He has opinions on almost all the bowl plays. He has a well developed money management strategy that he employs to maximize profit. I am sure he'll elaborate on all this before the season starts. Since SBR started, he's been posting winners. Never had a losing season.

Coach has been handicapping college football now for more than 2 decades. He knows the teams better than most coaches know them.

Pags please do not mind me asking, but I am very new to this site as well as sports betting in general. I was wondering what your win / loss / profit record was last college football season.

This season if I start with $1,000 and bet $100.00 per each game you recommend is it likely that I will end up in profit? If you had to guess at how much profit what would your guess be?

Thank you...Does that mean betting $100 per bet I would be up $3,500 if I bet $100 every single pick that he made?

No, that would be true if you were betting $100 per UNIT. He rates all of his plays.

Thanks Pags, all fine on the family front. Now I need to do something about my daughter's infatuation with Willie Bee, aka Uncle Willie.

I'm a longtime lurker but only recently a poster (and picking my spots at that thus far), but I just wanted to chime in since CFB is hardly my strong suit (to put it mildly), so I'm excited about pags' return.

So pags, is it true that you post all your bets at +100 and based on opening lines whether those lines are obtainable or not?

Betting 10% of your starting bankroll is way too much, guy.

Even 5% is too high. Try around 3%. Adjust it up or down, weekly. Even the best cappers, like pags, can hit rough patches.

Hope pags got the issues straightened out with SBR, re the Hot Demo Types who were harassing last season with their usual brainless bust-in's, on the pags threads.

I understand all too well that the HDTs who want to harass, and talk about pussy and pimples, are the MVPs, business-wise, on a site like this. (What biz, books or otherwise, doesn't love brainless money?) But they should be confined to their own playground - ie on the main board.

That said, HDTs don't bother me. 'Capping is fun, but Rhetoric, for me, is even funner. As our fearless leader says, "bring 'em on!"

dazz,

get yourself a bookmaker account and you can get the same lines I get on Sunday night during college footba...I usually play half of each play at bookmaker on Sunday night and half my play at matchbook on Monday...I do my best to post plays right after I make them...it's also very important that you pay attention to my unit size each week, as money management is extremely important to my strategy...

ritehook,

excellent advice regarding betting size in relation to one's bankroll...I agree...

you are right, I don't put up with any shit bro...I bust my ass capping and posting my plays for free...all I ask is a little respect from the mods to police my threads regularly...I hope that SBR comes through...

good to hear from you jj...

8/8/08 edit:

It appears I am mistaken and that Pags does indeed post his plays Sunday night, then merely provides write-ups/analysis on those plays later in the week. I made the assumption that he waited until Thursday to post plays incorporating Sunday night's (better) opening line, but it appears I am wrong. Please accept my apology!

hoja, your memory serves you wrong...please get your facts straight...I post my plays immediately after making them (which is usually on Sunday evening after the lines come out...after week four or so...otherwise if I make a play I post it immediately so people following my plays can get the same line)...I do my write-ups during the week and post them Thursday night...it is not my problem if someone comes into my thread on Friday night before they make their picks and the lines on many of my plays have moved against them...other than that, thanks for the post...

and just to add, it's the kind of post Hoja just made that really don't sit with me very well...judging by the post, he probably wasn't around much last college football season seeing some of the adjustments I made to the way I contribute to this board and I'll forgive him for that...but one would think you'd do a little bit more research before you make a post like the one that he did...remember gentlemen, I am not a tout, I don't get paid for posting...I don't have to go post my picks right when I make them, but I do...I don't have to do extensive write-ups better than most you can find on the net, but I do...I do it because I give back...in turn, I want the respect I deserve for being one of the best god damn college football handicappers out there...does it mean I have a bit of an ego?..yes it does...you probably would too if you worked your ass off and aren't appreciated all of the time...

I have posted winners for years and years and years in college football and that is my game plan again this year...I will not tolerate ignorance from posters nor will I tolerate my threads being filled with haters...the minute I can't take it anymore I'm out...I won't cause a fuss, I won't complain to Bill, I will just be gone (probably to another site)...for the time being SBR is my home, but please think very hard before you make posts that could set me off (and this also included moderators moderating my thread properly)...I don't need any drama as I'm working very hard to have a successful season this fall...thank you...
