I don't mind the fact that they are using a .40 cent line right now personally. I mean if I can find some very good value in a game where I feel the line is off a few points, then it's well worth it IMO.

RJT, What do you think about this one?
Appalachian State +23
After what happen to Michigan (who was a 31 pt favorite) last year I doubt LSU will overlook this team at all, especially after the fact that they have won 3 straight division 3 titles in a row.
I realize it's way to early to have everything factored in because not sure what type of injuries and other elements that could arise before this game. However, I feel there is some value here with LSU in this game.

Yes, LSU will surely be prepared for this game, and Les Miles has clearly shown in the past he's not above running up the score. LSU should be able to run the ball at will -- even in losing to App State last season, Mike Hart had a huge game on the ground. It also goes without saying that LSU's defense will be better suited for App State's speed on offense than UM. I think LSU will miss Perrilloux at some point this year, but they can run the ball all day in this game and not even have to worry about putting the ball in the air. This could very well be a game that gets out of hand. It will be very interesting to monitor the line movement in this game between now and Aug. 30. |

Guys LSU is far from Michigan they have 4 runningbacks and a deep wide reciever corp. This LSU team is far from Michigan!! I'll take LSU and the points easy!!!
And dont underestimate LSU DEFENSE!!! APP. STATE will not mover the ball easy

I completely agree, that is the line that most caught my eye as well. I think Thaddeus Lewis has a big year under Cutcliffe. Duke was extremely competitive in a number of conference games last season and unfortunate to not get a W in league play. Just seems they're getting no respect here for a team that's improved its talent dramatically in the last few years. I think Duke's offense will be quite good this season. |
