The Big Eleven should lose their BCS Conference status.

OSU has a great shot of being back in the title game, especially with Mendenhall leaving Illinois.

this news is not pleasing. it should be the SEC winner vs the SEC runner up or USC.

Will be difficult for OSU to win at USC, but they have a good shot of running the table in the Big 11 (that game in Champagne isn't nearly as tough without Mendenhall) and being right back in the title game as a 1-loss team.

Brenneman said that line about Ohio State might be back in this game next year and all of America said "No, please."

well if they are in it next year, it might be easy money for the 3rd straight year.

Of course, Illinois is going to run away with the Big 10, so if you're going to bet against OSU, it will be in the Outback Bowl or something.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE BIG TEN!!!!!! The confrence is overrated and always has been. Any sports analyst will tell you they can't compete with top notch teams from big time confrences. Yes I know Michigan pulled out a win against Florida. In my opinion they were a much better team than OSU but plagued by injuries. I'm just tired of seeing a team from taht conference going to the National titel game without playing a conference championship game.

There needs to be a rule...if you're in the championship game in back to back years and get pounded, you cannot go again...

Someone from the Big 10 will be in again next year (presumably OSU or Michigan). It's funny how OSU absolutely annihilated everyone in conference the last two years (that tends to happen when you have the likes of Northwestern, Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Iowa in your conference), and then embarrasses themselves in the championship game. The SEC was fortunate to get a team in there, and that simply should not be the case..

OSU should just be thankful WVU lost to Pittsburgh, or this game would have been even more out of hand

Hear so much about how the Big East isnt very good, yet they are 3-0 in BCS bowl games since adding the former C-USA schools, with a win over the SEC (2006), ACC (2007), and Big XII (2008)

I think that Ohio State isn't going to win their conference next season and I think Illinois or Michigan will win that conference next season.
