Default Mizzou -7 Biggest Play Of The Year!

Get it at -7 Before it's too late (still @ -7 bookmaker.com!!)

I admittedly am a huge Mizzou fan, but capping this game has nothing to do with who I want to win. In fact, before this season, I probably bet AGAINST Mizzou 75% of the time. The ONLY reason to bet with Kansas St. is the theory that Mizzou will be looking ahead. That's just not the case, and here are the 4 main reasons why Mizzou will cover Saturday...

1. MOMENTUM

Kansas St. has pretty much thrown in the towel. Losing to Iowa St., and getting clobbered by a dismal Nebraska team should show you how hard this team is playing right now. On the other hand, Mizzou won't even have a chance to make the Big XII champ. game if they lose (unless KU loses, yeah right), so they WON'T be looking ahead.

2. MIZZOU'S PASSING

Mizzou has the #5 passing offense vs. K St.'s #93 pass defense. Mizzou's receivers catch everything and can't be stopped, esp. against a porous defense

3. REVENGE

Mizzou hasn't won in Manhattan since 1989, and are relishing in the opportunity at a blowout.

4. "HOME ADVANTAGE"

I assure you, Mizzou fans are buying up these tickets. With much more on the line for Mizzou, Wildcat fans are more than willing to dump their tickets. The campuses are only 2 1/2 hours apart. I expect 35%-40% of fans will be wearing black and gold.

Obviously, you just never know in college football, but all signs point to solid Mizzou win. Tigers 45-24. Mizzou-rah!

kansas st will beat missouri with the oints you can bank on that...the shark is hungry and missouri has played easy teams al year....couldnt even cover the spread on a horrible texas a&m team...enough said kansas st covers easy here and i would not be surprised if kanasas st beat this team straight up...another one bites the dust....theshark

I will wait until after this week before I decide on Missouri and Kansas game, I don't like looking ahead, look what happened to Ohio State and Oregon by looking ahead. There is plenty of football left guys and it is a ways off.

Yea,
Kstate looked great against Nebraska last week.LOL

Something you have to be worried about, usually after taking a beating like that, the team plays very hard. Should be a good game, but Missouri by 17 in this one.

Pete,

While a couple of your comments are valid, a couple are way off. No way MU puts 20,000 fans in that stadium. Home field advantage is huge in this game. At Columbia, I agree this is a blowout. As I stated yesterday, KSU has been in the position to win every game this season with the exception of NU. Prince also thrives on games like this. I wish he cared more about the bad games, but he seems to get his team ready for games like this. KSU has not thrown in the towl and they are treating this like a bowl game. Lastly, where are you from? The only way to get to Manhattan from Columbia in 2 1/2 hours is by plane. Dude, KC is 2 hours from Mahattan. Check your geography again. I think MU most likely wins this game, but I think we will be within a couple points of the spread either way, which is too close for me to take. I would lean towards the total if anything or possibly teast MU-1 and over 62. If your from Columbia, don't wait 3 hours before gametime to leave.

I don't like you saying that is a ludicrous statement my friend, look at Ohio State they got caught looking ahead to Michigan, Oklahoma got caught looking ahead to Texas when they got beat by Colorado, just stating the facts. Oregon had an injury that happened also and that made a difference. I don't like hearing this from someone that don't know what the hell they are talking about. Maybe you need to take a break and stop calling people names. Sounds like a Bush supporter to me. You can go ahead and call teams garbage but until your KU team beats someone that is top ranked I wouldn't say anything. You heard it from me stop calling names pal thats just mud sligging and that isn't cool with me.

Let' see here Missouri has beaten Ill. that just beat Ohio State and they played Oklahoma which they were in the game, who has Kansas played? No one in the top 20 I believe. Just wait until they play someone before they say anything I think. I think Kansas is a good team but I do not believe that they are the best team though until they are proven to beat top quality teams. I think it will be a great game between Missouri and Kansas but with the competition that Missouri has played I will give them the edge. If Oklahoma State can score 28 on KU and Nebraska can score 39 on them, how many is Missouri going to score, 50? I think that if Missouri scores that much they will win because their defense is pretty decent. That game is going to go down the turnovers and who has the most turnovers is not going to win the game.

I stand corrected, it was Lawrence that is closer to Columbia. I'm glad I didn't buy tickets, expecting it to be a 4-hour drive from St. Louis. I do however stand by my theory that there will be a TON of Mizzou fans at the game. Maybe I overshot a bit, but 10-15K is not out of the question.

As for my prediction, I find it hard to believe that 'bowl eligibility' is a motivating factor for K St. Look how well Miami played vs. Virginia in their big 'bowl eligibility' game at home. Last week I posted how this was a trap game for Mizzou, but after seeing how bad Kansas St. has become, and with Oregon being knocked off, I'd be VERY surprised to see Kansas St. hang in this one.

As for KU, they haven't played ANYONE this year. I do think they're a good team, but Texas A&M is the best team they've played. Mizzou had a semi-soft schedule, but they did shut down Texas Tech, and Nebraska scored 6 points off them, oh yeah, Kansas St. allowed Nebraska to score 70!

Pete,

Yeah from STL you would be leaving at about 4-5 am to make the game and that might be pushing it. I would guess 5k to 7k MU fans. K-State has had a bad home schedule this year so the fans are anixouis to actually get a good game in Manhattan. I don't see to many KSU fans giving up their tickets for this one. Clearly, MU is the better team and should win. I just think homefield is huge in this matchup and KSU is not going to concede. I could easily see KSU putting 30-35 points up on the board. The sad thing is that probably won't be enough to win, but it may be to cover. That is my concern from a betting standpoint. Excluding NU last week, KSU has played decent all season and we are not talking about a KU schedule either. KSU has played at Auburn, at Texas, KU home, winning 1, but ahead late in the other 2. I would prefer to tease this game MU-1 and Over 62. 62 points does not seem like a whole lot in this matchup so get the extra cushion for MU at -1. Just my opinion.
