Clemson a steal at -7???????
I think Clemson is a steal @ -7...what u think?
I also took Purdue-14, Wisc - 8, Oregon -17,Mich St -12,Alabama -3 and out of field position alone I think Ohio State will cover by 23. Bet 50 a piece and then parlayed as well. Only NFL that looks good to me is Browns moneyline(maybe) and steelers by 9. What u think about Sunday??

Well i am not so sure it is such a steal but I would lean toward Clemson with that spread. NCST just is not very good this year and even being at home won't help I think.
The other games I don't know either. Certainly Purdue is capable of destroying a bad Minn team but perhaps Minn has some extra energy playing at home, night, and in their big Ten opener but i can see a lot of scoring here.
I don't know about Wisc -8 personally....i don't have a very strong opinion about this game (see Ebone's thread for more detail).
I am against you on Oregon/Mich St. I'll be on the Cardinal and the Irish this weekend. I think this is a good spot for both teams. With Stanford certainly Oregon is better but Stanford has been playing well and can certainly be competitive in this game if they can catch some breaks. With Mich St....i don't know how much difference there is between these two teams. The line to me is a major overreaction. If MSU blows out ND then suffice to say ND might just be the worst team in the country.
Alabama....no idea. I think UGA is a bit overrated but Alabama is in a classic letdown situation and facing an above average defense with a strong head coach.
I have not even considered NFL yet....i'll do that Sunday morning.
Good Luck Mshanedub420....

I love the Oregon bet. Oregon is a top-notch, nationally ranked offense... 3rd best rushing team in the nation. Stanford probably couldn't even stop my flag football team from running on them. The difference in athleticism is amazing. Take the Ducks.
Oregon most recently:
When playing in September are 9-1
When playing on grass are 7-3
After outgaining opponent are 5-5
When playing within the conference are 5-5
Stanford most recently:
When playing in September are 2-8
When playing on grass are 1-9
After outgaining opponent are 4-6
When playing within the conference are 1-9
A few trends to consider:
Oregon is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Stanford
Oregon is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing Stanford
Oregon is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games
I like the Bama pick as well. Good luck.

The Textile Bowl is usually a close ball game. I agree that Clemson is the better of the two teams and that NCSU isn't very good this year.
The Tigers SHOULD cover the spread, but let's remember this is first road game of the year and their QB's first road test of his career.
I'd lean toward Clemson but I wouldn't be totally blown away if NCSU covered or even won outright.

mshane ... Without commenting on any particular choices you made, taking 7 chalks and giving away 84 points is usually a no win situation ... Good luck

last years ncsu/bc game looked like a lock too, but we know how that turned out
the pack have a bit of a history of showing up to not only cover, but win, games that look like locks such as this clemson one
though i can tell you theres no buzz on campus about this game, other than the occassional freshmen wanting to go, but then again i havent been on campus since wednesday
