Default Strong Play on Kent St.

I live in the midwest and follow the Big12 inside and out. In looking at this game, Kent St. has more talent at almost every position on the field. The fact that they are getting points is amazing. I'm assuming the line is representative of the conferences each play in and not necessarily the teams themselves. When breaking this game down, I have Kent St. as a 4 point favorite. I see this game as a great way to start off the college football season. The Big12 North continually gets overrated early on in the season and then the truth comes out about midway. Trust me, I see it with my Jayhawks every year!! good luck everyone!

I'd have to echo these same sentiments TheGambler states above. I cannot understand why Iowa State is favored. It makes me think that I am missing something.

It has to be more than just conference affiliation. Are bettors and linesmakers just this infatuated with the new Iowa State head coach? If so, then that is definitely another reason to go against the Cyclones tonight.

I can't play this game. Yes, Kent improved last season, but the two major conference teams they faced beat them 67-0. Yes, one was @ VT, but one was vs. Minnesota, who didn't beat a team with a winning record all season, beat a Division II team by 1 point at home, and had their coach fired at the end of the year.

I'm not saying Kent State isn't the play, I sort of think they are, but I don't buy the argument that Iowa State is a false favorite. But good luck to you guys.

Very nice performance by Kent St. I do like starting the season off with a nice victory. I really feel for the Iowa St. fans because they have a long season ahead of them. Hopefully you all had a good night as well and let's keep this going into the weekend.
