Former Tout College Picks for Thursday
It's true, I did have a small tout service around the turn of the century (this one, not 1900).
One season, to pull in a few more players, I did a true "pay after winning" thing. I gave out maybe 7-12 plays a week, college and NFL, but pinpointed the two I deemed best, and had the customers send me the proceeds of the net of a two-team parlay on those - $30 if I recall rightly. Modest enough.
Blitz! I opened the season with a winning two-team designated parlay TEN WEEKS IN A ROW. True story. And being a modest type, did warn the clients that such was largely luck, and not to go overboard as it would not continue.
I didn't even have a computer at the time (had one a few months before season began, but it collapsed and I had no time to replace it so everything was done by voice mail and fax).
The streak did end, but I nevertheless did gangbusters that year. I tried the thing the following season. And tne long flush of odiferous waste matter no doubt helped cause our current global warming.
Well, just an anecdote (tho factual) to tease into my plays.
I won't do this every week, it takes too much time. Maybe next week and again during bowl season. Plenty of aspiring touts here to fill all voids.
BUFFALO +32 (Using current Pinnacle lines, where I can't play)
KENT ST +3.5
UTAH ST +6.5
Back tomorrow with the rest of the opening CFB weekend

Good Luck:
I have an observation that I find a little unusual. I have never encountered a forum with such a large number of touts playing the doggies. I think this is unusual. It frightens me a little. I always was happy when the public played the chalk.
Could this be the end of the world, maybe the beginning of the end, the era of the Antichrist. I am not happy about this. Don't tell me I have to play all the favs this week. Say it ain't so.

dante,
I'd say a good 90% of my Side bets are dogs, and I have been very successful with that in the past. If you are a dog player, don't cross over to squaresville!

LT Took me literally decades to learn my lesson with the
chalk. Final straw was bookin for a local and watching
week after week the chalk players taking a pounding. Now, I am not saying that all you need do is play the pups and you will be a sure winner, but I give them every consideration and I always will. Good luck to you.
Pags I will be waiting with great anticipation. And you're right it is difficult to sleep. Sort of like the night before a basket game and you're dreaming about making that last jump shot to win it at the buzzer. Remember those days?
Good luck to you my friend and to all of us.

Okay pal. You know what, I am a gambler big surprise right. I have a bet I would like to make. Of course, we can't pay off because it can't be proven one way or the other. But, I would bet that many hard core players, you know the kind like us were at one time in their life jocks. Do you agree? I bet it is way more than 50%. Wonder why that is. Maybe, because we can't get it out of our blood. Can't play anymore so we do this instead. haha
Now it is three oclock in the morning here and you f.... have me up. I am going to bed. Good night

And GL to all as well, something even the most skilled needs, esp in a low velocity game like football. (Not much time to overcome errors, as there is in hoops)
And LT Profits, I also would estimate Kent will win SU, vs the worse team in the Big 12. Just hope they learned how to kick FGs
I do have a few faves this weekend, and will post them tomorrow. The End of the Known World was postponed . . .

Your story is interesting. Any particular reason you quit?
I don't like touts generally. I think most of them are blood suckers and don't know a football from a sewer plate. We have exceptions and honest people trying to do right.
If you offered a pay after you win deal and it was only 30 bucks I certainly would have had a go at it. What would I have to lose?
I will watch your plays and hope you do well. Just don't give me any plays because of superficial trends. (lol)
Good luck
