CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Kirby Freeman is set to be the starting quarterback for Miami's season opener Tuesday, beating former first-stringer Kyle Wright in the Hurricanes' most-scrutinized training camp competition.

Even though I completely agree with this decision, I'm a little surprised Wright didn't get the call.

you would have thought it would have been his job to lose...this might create some dissention within the team...

We shall see, but I don't think the team had any confidence in Wright's abilities. He had his time being the guy and didn't do enough with it.
