Default Greatest Running Back In College Ever

Right Here, I guess wasted talent. Whatever happened to this guy? Why did he not play pro ball..something happened.

Not comparing stats with other college greats but pure talent

If I had to take a guess other than injury, I would have to has White Powder. So many talented guys got hooked on it during the 70s and early 80s. The Powders ran wild with the Sooners during those day. Just a guess.

Default Marcus Dupree

was a high school phenom in Mississippi and was gonna be the next OU star. had a great fiesta bowl...earl campbell-like... but then had a huge fight with barry switzer and transferred to southern miss.

then he signed with the usfl when he was just 19 but had 2 really bad knee injuries and got caught in the usfl fold. after he finally rehabbed, he wasn't 1/10 of what he was before and played a few nfl games before going away.

I would have to agree and also say Barry Sanders was the best I've ever seen.

Dupree never played for USM. Funny thing about him leaving OU, when he did Switzer tried to abandon the option offense and made Troy Aikman his starting QB. When Aikman went down against Miami, Jamelle Holieway came in and Barry went back to the run.

Two best I ever saw in college were Earl Campbell and Herschel Walker. Those guys were fast and ran through people.

Garrison Hurst was pretty damn good, so was Deshawn Foster...Edgerrin James...Amhad Bradshaw was a pleasure to watch play for Marshall as well...I know these are reaches at this point, but I thought these guys deserved mention...

All guys mentioned were great and really hard to pick one, I guess what I was getting out was the college guy who had most talent.

Rick Williams was unreal too

I will sum this up..most devastating runner ever with speed and power was Bo Jackson on college or Pro level. He was unreal on a power pitch
