imgv College Football Plays for Week One....
Last time I wagered on a college football game I made a horrible stupid wager on Ohio State, Florida was by far the better team.
Before that I made a great wager on LSU vs Notre Dame and that turned out a lot better.
So far I only have two plays invested in..
1* TEXAS -39
0.5* Georgia -7 +108
Going to add a few plays periodically.. Feedback and advice always appreciated.

I think you're on the right side of both of these.
My only plays thus far are Cal -5.5 and BC -5.5.
Good luck imgv.

Hopefully Texas is up close to that at halftime, so you don't have to sweat so much in the 2nd half.
I think your on the right side of both as well, but not 2 games I will be playing.
Good luck IMG.

You pretty much already have my thoughts on that Texas/Ark St game already IMG.
Please don't get me wrong here, because I feel Georgia will be a very solid team this year. However, I've always been leery about taking them giving 7 or more points over the last 4 years now. They just don't seem to score many points at all for some reason, not to mention they do seem to play up and down to there level of compotision, which scares the living hell out of me.

Texas always seems to cover these week 1 games agaisnt weaker competition. It's one of those games they can control the outcome of no matter how hard Arkansas St tries. Kind of an easy cover for their alumni. I see Texas covering here but just can't lay this kind of number. Texas is slightly overrated this year and Arkansas St is probably the 2nd best team in the Sun Belt if that means anything. They do have some talented offensive playmakers and should score in this game. Even so, Texas is probably the right side.
The other game is far more complex. My initial lean, and a strong one at that, was Georgia and I still believe that to be the case. OKST has a very potent offense and really moved the ball at will last year against Alabama another talented defense. But OKST's defense is a bit below average for a Big 12 school but Georgia's offense can look terrible at times although it is improving slowly under 2nd year QB Stafford. I expect Georgia to win meaning in all likelihood the chance of a cover but seeing this number at 6 at Boomaker is telling me something is up.
I am going to pass on both these games but like others believe these to be the right sides.

I didn't say that Pags. I'm still undecided on that game.

Good luck on those added bets.

Why is Cal -5.5 point favorites? I think they were favored last year in this game and got spanked.

crackerjack,
completely different situation bro...laying 3.5 at Tennessee with last year's team and giving 5.5 at home with this year's team are totally different...
