Default International Bowl

Saturday, January 6, 2007

W MICHIGAN (8-4) at CINCINNATI (7-5)

I have this game as an even matchup. Both teams match up equally on both sides of the ball. Western Michigan has been way better at forcing turnovers, so I will give them the slight edge.

Yeah, I took +8.5 for a small play when it came out, but I wouldn't really like WM at anything +7 or lower. This should be a low-scoring game and the points are likely to come into play.

I've been looking more at this game and I can't think of any reason why you would want Cincy minus any amount of points. I think Western Michigan could win straight up and will gladly take them plus a TD.

I've got Western Michigan +8.5 for half a unit.

This may well be the first and last International Bowl if ticket sales are any indication. You can get any seat in the house for $5 and there are still plenty left in the lower stands.

No Interest up there at all uh Hulu?

I can't say I'm really surprised about that at all. The last bowl game they tried to put on outside the U.S. was a big flop too. In fact, I'm shocked they even tried to attempted it again to be honest with you.

Western Michigan did play Florida State tough on the road (losing 28-20), same logic I used to play Troy State. Cinci did not seem that great away from home. Plus the points would be my pick here.

Losing to Florida State was hard to do this year. I'm sticking with Cinci.

I have WMU +7.5 and +275. Bet them what seems like a year and a half ago.

I'd like to scalp around a bit, but that pointspread is welded onto the 7.

It's being played at the Rogers Centre which used to be the Skydome so I would assume they will have it enclosed.

I am taking the over here. The new UC coach was an offensive minded one at Central Michigan, so I suspect he will use this game to preview the spread offense that he will be using next year.
