Even thought Miami beat Florida Intl 35-0. There going to be in a world of hurt with some suspentions comming down in the next few days due to the big brawl that happened in tonights game. Infact, one canes player just might get thrown off the team.
I think Coker just might have totaly lost control of this team after tonights incident.

Yep I seen it. One player was swing his helmet around, and another stompping on players. It was just a sick scene, and players will probably get kicked off the team, and maybe out of school.

Hardly anything new at Miami. How about the 1990 Cotton Bowl when they had 256 yards in penalties mostly for personal fouls?
Its a rough area in S. Fla where a lot of these kids come from. Makes Harlem look like Beverly Hills. |

I remember that game John. Only you were thinking of the 1991 Cotton Bowl and not the 1990. If I remember right, that game was a complete ass whippin the Canes put on Texas.

You're right Dan, it was the 90 season but the game was on Jan 1s, 1991. I had Miami -6, quite a gift with the game decided by the 2nd qtr. Still, I can't help but enjoy seeing them get their turn in the pickle barrel.

Ya, I know I was right, because I was on the losing side of that game and it's hard to forget a loss like that.
BTW, Thanks for bringing that damn game back up ![]()

And then I heard some comments on the radio from Coker saying that after people see the full video, they'll be "impressed". An interviewer asked "impressed? about what? to which Coker replied "how our guys handled themselves".
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. WTF is going on down there?

That got really ugly last night, You are going to see alot about this coming week. You may see plenty of suspensions from the NCAA on this. This reminds me of the incident that happened in the Indiana/Detroit NBA game a few years ago, for the exception the players didn't go up into the stands but there was fighting in the stands I heard. This got pretty bad folks and you might see some guys getting kicked out of school over this and possibly the head coach of Miami could lose his job also.

Perhaps, you should visit Harlem soon. A friend purchased a brownstone for $175K, worth over 1.4 Mil today in less than 3 years. And why the comparison of black neighborhoods, with black players, with black behaviors. White hockey come from Harlem too? And if Blacks were(are) so violent, why did they end up being the slave? I am confused, what does a fight have to do with race or a neighborhood "these people" come from. Have you been there? How do you know? Let me guess you saw it on CNN, FOX, etc. Carol City, Liberty City and many parts of Miami are bad...I agree. Still don't see the connection. Just an observation, simply. |

The helmet guy's gotta be tossed off the team and the player kicking everyone in sight was unreal.
Likely the final straw for Larry Coker. He will be fired at the end of the season and likely will never be a head coach again. Never liked him anyways. He won most of his games with Butch Davis' players, and hasn't done much once he recruited all the players on his team. |
