The Wolverines travel to South Bend to take on the Fighting Irish in a classic college football rivalry.

Michigan is 1-7 ATS in road openers losing six in a row straight up. The dog is 9-1 ATS (also 16-3-1) in this series, but Michigan is just 6-14 ATS the week before its Big 10 opener.

The 27 pts combined last year was the lowest since 1979 and 2nd-lowest since 1909. Michigan is off a vanilla 41-17 win over Central Michigan in which the Wolverines had 23-14 FD and 386-204 total yard edges. UM has yet to really crack open the playbook as QB Chad Henne is averaging 124 ypg (51%) with a 2-0 ratio.

RB Hart has been revitalized with 262 yds (5.2). The Wolverines’ D has allowed just 29 rush ypg (1.2) with 10 sacks and rank #3 in pass efficiency allowing 156 ypg (46%) with a 3-1 ratio.

The Irish took advantage of numerous Penn State (botched FG att, 3-0 TO deficit) to make a close game a 41-17 rout. QB Quinn is avg 267 ypg (65%) with a 3-0 ratio. RB Walker has 155 yds (3.7). Wide receivers McKnight & Samardzija have combined for 25 rec (11.9). Notre Dame has the edge on offense (#3-17) but Michigan has it on defense (#1-11), and a big edge on ST’s (#5-74).

Gotta' take the points here in this classic rivalry.

This one one of those games where I can see going either way really. To me this is more of a game to just watch on TV, and not wager on it IMO. I just can see this game going either way.

down at the cornor newsstand here in LA they sell picks from all these touts and phil steele is one of the tout sheets they sell only this guy puts out 2 tout sheets. ones called power sweep and i the other tout sheet has his name on it and that sheet is called something like phil steele's power plays or something like that. anyway this guy double plays his selections like you wouldnt believe
on one sheet he'll print out a projected score having team 'a' covering the spread and on his other tout sheet he'll have the same team 'a' losing to the spread. i mean this guy'll give out a best bet on one sheet and have that same team losing to the spread on the other sheet!
you know how i know the tout sheet that doesnt have his name on it is the same guy that puts out the tout sheet with his name, phil steele on it? phone number. the guy puts the same phone number on both tout sheets. atab

I know this is common stuff among touts but didn't think Phil Steele did this. I know he likes to pull stuff like classifying alot of his plays so when one type of play starts doing well he'll hype it up. I still like he's reads though and get his college football preview yearly.

few years ago i was real busy with my bussiness and i had no time to really handicap the football season.
when i did find the time i was compelled to handicap every single game for the week and it did'nt matter who the team was i looked to find from 1 to 3 to maybe 5 teams that came up with the greatest advantage over their opposition and lay some money down. this took hours, into the night hours.
so anyway when i didnt have the time i'd go down to the news stand pick up all the tout sheets, you know, gold sheet, mark lawence, winning points, pointwise ect and create like a super concensus on all the games, this included both of the tout sheets put out by non other then philly boy steele. i didnt know this at first, that this guy put out two different tout sheets but i figured it out pretty quick when i saw he would advertise the same weekly, monthly and seasonal package deals, same prices and same phone numbers. alot of his picks were on the same but more then enough times his picks were on one side of a team and on his other sheet he was on the other side of the same game.
i mean he might try to give out an honest thought here and there but as far as iam concerned i see that as nothing more then trappings to get you to make that first phone call so's he can sell the rest of his crock.

I seen it down to -4.5, its currently -6 at Pinnacle right now. I think Notre Dame takes this one by 16.
