What do you mean climbing? It opened @ -7 and climbed up to -9.5 at some books during the last week or so. It's been going down.
However, I like Rutger @ -6.5 if I can get it.

I mean it should climb, opened at 7 early bettors pushed it to 9.5, you are very right about that. Then people probably started to notice that NC state has covered their last 7 games and has won their last 4, 9.5 is alot of points to cover, so bettors came in heavy on NC state. Now that the line is less the 7 bettors should be back on Rutgers, I feel like the line will settle in right around 7.5 right before gametime. I don't think it will matter honestly, I think this game is a blowout or NCState wins, I don't see Rutgers winning a close game. Final score projection 42-14 Rutgers, I will be taking Rutgers for 2k, good luck everyone.

Dont see anyway rutgers blows out nc state, they have been playing great. I would not give a touchdown to this team, I see them winning outright. 30 to 24

Yeah, I hear ya and agree. I want to parlay this game, but the O/U is difficult to decide. Rutgers' defense is strong, but it would be nice if NC State could find some nice defense in this game as well. Nevertheless, I'm leaning the under as of right now.

This game is not easy to gauge on the scoring front either. Although I’m liking Rutgers in this spot (-6.5), it's hard to ignore the temptation of taking NC State at +7 or more. Reason being, out of Rutgers' last 4 games they did do some damage in the scoring department, however, 3 of those opponents are really weak teams (Army, Louisville, and Syracuse) and USF turned out to be nothing special as we seen heading into October. On the other side, NC State beat two Top 25 teams (Wake and UNC) in their last 3 games. Two other important factors that should be mentioned. First, the ACC (I’m being unbiased here even though I went to FSU) is a much stronger conference than the Big East so the strength of schedule is on NC States’ side. Second, it does not make matters any easier that O'Brien is 7-1 in bowl games. The only common opponents between these two schools are USF and UNC. On could make an argument that Rutgers crushed USF (49-16) and NC State got crushed by USF (41-10), however, it’s a wash because Rutgers got crushed by UNC (44-12) while NC State crushed UNC (41-10). Need to think this one through, but it feels like I’m making an argument to take NC State although I was heavily leaning Rutgers. We’ll see.

I respect yall infamous and strictly winners but I think it is coming from the heart abit there Jersey Boys.I'm a mountaineer and know the Big East and Rutgers will have all kinds of trouble with the NCST secondary!Lots of blitzes and Teel is not very good under alot of pressure. This NCST defense is far better than any of those that Rutgers has faced during their win streak.I really feel that NCST wins this one straight up but I'll sure as hell take the 8.GL fellows whatever yall do!

Leaning towards NC State, would really like it if it made it to 7 or better by game time. Both teams are on fire, should be a very good game. I think NC State plays in the tougher conference and is the tougher team. I see them winning a close one, something like... 31-28

Although the game is played on the field, I’m not convinced Rutgers can get the job done after doing my homework on this matchup. While Rutgers put up tons of points on the board in their last 4 games against teams such as Syracuse (3-7), South Florida (6-3), Army (3-7), and Louisville (5-6), these teams are horrible aside from USF who was mediocre this season. The rest – dismal. On the other side of the equation we have NC State who didn’t do too bad themselves in their last 4 games. NC State managed to win all 4 of these games over much tougher competition than that of Rutgers. They won their last 4 games over Duke (4-4), #24 Wake Forest (6-3), #22 UNC (7-3), and Miami (7-4). This was NC State was healthy once again and you can see the improvement. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that NC States’ schedule is much tougher in these last 4 games as well as throughout the entire season. Unless something drastic occurs before game time, I’m on NC State ML and +7. I'm going to do my conference proud today.
GL Everyone.

Very good observation but I actually hate Rutgers, and Mike Teal. The guy is awful, nothing would please me more then to bet against him and take NCState moneyline, after all I'm really a big dawg kind of player, I usually avoid the big spreads and favorties. This is one of those games where I am not betting the numbers however and am not looking at strength of schedule, because if you do this game says NCstate all day, and that the line should not be more then 4. Here is my question, and I know this line of thinking doesn't always work, but I think it will here. Why a team NCstate that has won their last 4 games and has covered something stupid like 9 out of 11 games, going to play a team Rutgers, that was terrible all year and beat up on bad teams at the end of the year, getting 7. Not only are they getting 7, early line movement pushed it to 9.5, I feel the oddmakers and the early movers know something that we do not in this spot, maybe its a matchup we are missing or something we can't see, but there has to be a reason.
I haven't put it in yet but I will let you know when I do I'm going to be going with Rutgers -6.5 thinking that the oddsmakers have everyone fooled on this game.

Quit whining. Go with your instincts. Because you know if you take NC State and when they do lose by 7+ your going to be one unhappy lose. Lower your units your wagering so its less painful if you do lose. Seems like the betting public is taking NC State and we know how the general public does. What these people taking NC State don't know is how the Jersey Boys are going to play hard on both sides of the field and for 60 minutes. Coach has them prepped and ready to go, 2 trick plays ready to be executed for 14 pts, and the rest is history.
GL to all rutgers plays some competitive BIG EAST ball

Nope. Betting is 50/50 through 37,000 bets. So it makes sense that line is right back to the opening number now. It seems the best play was to take NC State when the line went up. Then again, since the line is dropping now, it is still possible to catch Rutgers at a better number than the opener later.

Yes I know, I should just lower units, but unfortunetly not my style, I will have 2k on some side at 3 oclock, I hope that side is Rutgers. I still like them but an old system I used that treated me good for a long time, and now that I just use to reenforce my picks says take NCstate huge. This could be skewed because I am monitoring New Jersey betting accounts and that could be the reason why almost all of them have Rutgers and they are throwing all of my numbers off.

If it makes you feel any better I have 1K on rutgers & I generally bet 1500$ a game, 2 or 3 games a week only football -- unless I win all 3 then I will bet a fourth if necessary. Mostly pro football. I hedged with NC State ML small. I don't see this game being won by less then a touch down either way.

I've been on NC State for quite a while now and loved it at +9. GL to everyone. I still think it's a good play at 7.5 or better. Any other number and it would be a no play for me. I'll also have Northwestern at +13 tonight for anyone that's playing that one.

strange spread?
NC State in their last four games beat Duke, Wake F, UNC, and Miami. Three out of four are playing in bowl games.
Rutgers beat Syracuse, S. Florida, Army, and Louisville.
Doesn't it seem obviouse that NC State played a tougher schedule and beat..better teams?
I didn't know the line on this game until about 5 minutes ago. I assumes NC State would be giving 1 or 2 pts or Visa Versa. But Rutgers giving 6.5? Whoa...
NC State is getting all the action (per vegasinsider). I would take Rutgers b/c this line seems a bit off.
