Default Midd Tenn St. Vs. UL Lafayette

UL is 5 point favorite, and I like them. Terrible game, but stilla game that could potentially be easy money.

Thoughts

To be Honest, I know nothing about both teams. It's just that UL Lafayette is good at home and Midd Tenn sucks on the road. So, I think UL can win it.

I like Midd Tenn St here. There loses on the road are misleading and they have played some very solid teams. If I were going to bet on it, I would take the points.

I think that UL has played some solid teams as well. In addition, the common opponents the teams have had show UL coming out ahead by quite a bit. is there any other specific reasons you're leaning MT?

When the line opened i was sure it would go down, but now its going up.I'll take it.UL hasnt played a soild team all year and has lost their last three in a row, while Midd Tenn has won their last three. This line is screwy.I am all over the ML +170 and the pionts +5.

Love the under.MTENNSt has only scored more than 24 pts this year one time and that was against NTExas. All of the Sun Belt has done that to NTexas. Also,MTENNSt has scored 14pnts 3 times this year and a slew of 17 and 21 pnt performances.I'm with ya greenbucks,I'll take my chances that LAFF can't score 38+pnts tonight.GL greenbucks and all under backers!Lets cash it!

Check out this article that I found!

LA-Lafayette Focus Of Big Bettors

There is no dispute in the world of football betting that the name Louisiana-Lafayette is not a household word. For every 100 people who make bets on such main-stream teams as USC, Ohio State, Oklahoma et al, there may be one who wagers on Louisiana-Lafayette.

In other words, this is not a team to which one goes when he needs to win a bet.

That is, unless you are an insider there-and someone most certainly is.

This is a team that has attracted unusual betting action for the past 10 years and it is obvious the NCAA, or anybody else, has ever taken time to look into the matter, although it has been written about on several occasions.

The money hit again this past Saturday-against Lafayette, which lost at Troy, 48-3. It was score time again in a game that saw the money show on Troy at -7 and the volume was so great the game closed with the Trojans -11, a 4-point move on a team to which few pay attention.

This was the fourth time the money has showed on a game involving Lafayette this season and the money went 3-1, or was right 75% of the time. The moves were never less than 4 points and has high as 5½ -and always at the last minute.

This happens so often with this team-and has for so many years-that it is obvious that someone closely connected to this program is either betting himself or feeding inside information to betting groups.

Where is the NCAA-the FBI.

midd tenn st +5 / ML also
UL has no defense, giving up over 400YPG. QB has struggled with 11 TDs/ 9INTs. they have a decent running game.
MTS has a superior defense compared to UL but the offense sometimes lacks.
however with the porous UL defense I believe MTS will be able to move the ball and win the game. So thats where my monies going.

I'm not so sure how true this is.

ULL has only played 4 games at home this year, wins over Kent State and FIU (not all that impressive), a close win over Ark State (not bad) and a loss to UTEP (a game they were a 13.5 favorite in). Yes ULL has 5 losses on the road, but Southern Miss, Illinois, Kansas State, FAU, and Troy were all tough games. ULL runs the ball a hell of a lot and I don't think crowds factor in all that much to be honest.

Middle Tennessee is a very bad 1 - 5 on the road (with their only win coming against Western Kentucky), but 2 of those losses were to SEC opponents (Kentucky and Miss State may be SEC fodder but still have superior athletes), @Ark State (tough game), @Louisville (BCS opponent), and @FIU (not a good loss). They certainly can't be called a good road team, but I think MTS loses most of these games on a neutral site as well.

I think Louisiana Lafayette is the pick tonight, and it isn't due to home field advantage. ULL has an outstanding offense that I believe will be able to score on these guys, and take a closer look at MTS's wins this year...

Maryland 24 - 14: Impressive, but Maryland was VERY hit or miss to start this year, and this was a miss.

FAU 14 - 13: Terrible team to start the year, and it took a lucky hail mary at the end of the game to beat them

ULM 24 - 21: Only a 3 point home victory over a 4 - 8 opponent.

@Western Kentucky 21 - 10: 11 point win over a team with no division 1 victories.

North Texas 52 - 13: NT's only win came against Western Kentucky

5.5 points is not enough to take Middle Tennessee here. ULL should win by a TD or more. Good luck to both sides though, this is just my opinion

Both these teams still have a shot at a bowl bid if they can win tonight.

The Play is the 1st qtr Midd Ten + 1/2

Take a look at what these teams do in the 1st qtr and then bet your ass off on Mid Ten + 1/2. I could care less who wins I'm on the 1st qtr.

This is a good post. The Cajuns have allowed their opponents to score first in 9 out of 11 games this season.

Ok well, UL is bad historically on senior day, the game isn't televised so that negates a lot of the reason to put your money on crowd noise, and the fact that UL's star back is hurt points me to MTS. I'm taking the dog.

Middle Tenn St. +5.5 GL everyone

I've got nothing for tonights games, Guru.

If you want something off the top of my head I'd say take the Raiders plus the points. That should be the winner. The Chargers are shit, but nobody wants to believe it.

Oakland +9.5 .... But I'm not playing it.

Good luck with your bets today, kids.
