Been lighting up conf USA this year and at first glance,I really see something special in the UTEP-ECU matchup this week.ECU opens at 5.5.I'm going to look into this game so hard I'm going to throw up.This looks like a real dandy guys!!!!!!!!!Didn't mean to say winner since I try not to blow picks out of proportion.I'm going to hammer this thing for a while before throwing it out there.

I will be seriously pissed if this doesn't come through due to the fact that I've focused strictly on this game and really put the work in on it.

OK yall.Here it is.UTEP+5.5 over ECarolina.This is a very similar setup as it was with Rice-Marshall on Saturday.The Miners have actually been playing great football,even though they lost to Houston in a shootout SAT,building a big lead,but couldn't overcome a furious rally by the Cougars.Utep has a great offensive football team.I realize that this game is at ECU but the Pirates have been going straight downhill since their injuries.Houston handed the Pirates a bad loss at ECU earlier this year.ECU is a team built for ball control and history shows that they just can't keep up with the more potent offenses in CONF USA.Their wins in conf has been very unimpressive,beating both UABand TULANE by 4 pnts each.Not to mention needing OT to beat MARSHALL.UTEP has also played a good out of conf schedule which has included TEXAS,of which they were in the game mid-way through the 3rd quarter.Lastly,after great aspirations of possibly being in the BCS earlier this year,the Pirates have went into the tank,just wanting to get this season over with.I really see UTEP winning this game rather easily as their potent offense eventually overcomes the Pirates.GL guys!I'm taking this thing to the bank.It is a Friday game,and believe a 1:00 starting time.

UTEP is 7-3 ATS vs team with a winning record
ECU is 1-6 ATS in last 7 on grass
ECU is 1-6 ATS in last 7gms following a ATS loss(UAB)
ECU is 1-7 ATS vs a team with a losing record(UTEP 5-6)
ECU is 0-5 ATS in last 5 following a straight up win
ECU is 0-4 ATS in last 4 NOV games
ECU is 0-4 ATS in last 4gms after allowing less than 20 pnts in previous game(UAB-13)
ECU is 0-4 ATS in last 4 conf gms

ECU is 7-4 and is going to a bowl.But probably the most unimpressive 7-4 out there.I say this in response when I said that they were ready to get the season over with.

+ ECU's bowl fate is sealed.UTEP is still trying to qualify for post season play and I don't see how the Pirates can get up for this game and it will hardly be a hostile environment while I don't feel home field advantage is all that great of a factor during holiday week games.With alot of students away during this time.

Huh.Well it depends.In some cases it is,in some its not.I did just notice that yall are right that it did open at 3.5.This is just from my experience capping.I truly believe that when the oddsmakers come out with some of these games and quickly realize that in there opinions that they were off a bit,they'll bump it up.I truly think this is the case in this game.It is not a reflection of the betting public in this case or it would be a top consensus pick at the moment.It's not even in the top ten.To sum it up and remember this is strictly my opinion,the oddsmakers will try to make you think the betting public is on ECU to cover up their mistake.This is a smart move in my opinion by them since to me that makes more since to do this instead of taking the line to even.Make since?Too many games in the past have proved this to be true.I feel this is the oddsmakers way of trying to get the betting public on ECU rather than move the line in favor of UTEP to make their bad read less obvious.Get it?

Not the first time I was wrong, and it won't be the last.
Incidentally, he didn't influence me one bit. I played the game long before I came upon this thread.
