Default Northern Illinois -3 is my play....

Kent State is ranked #125 in the Sagarin ratings and their defense is surrendering 32 ppg.

Kent State's victories have come against Delaware State (#212), Miami-OH (#133), and Temple (#97).

Edelman may be a superstar, but his team hasn't challenged a decent opponent. NIU is ranked #79.

NIU's Harnish showed great improvement last week in the 2H of the CMU game, nearly puling the win. CMU is FAR BETTER than Kent. I expect NIU to be able to pound the ball all night, setting up deep-toss opportunities for Harnish. Kent gave up 45 points to Bowling Green two weeks ago, that bodes well for NIU.

If Kent can keep this game remotely close against a superior opponent, they deserve my money. They'll have to take it from me first, I'm not betting on them.

NIU -3

NIU specializes against the run. Huskies also have 81 tackles for loss in 10 games this year.

NIU is 4-1 ATS on the road this year.

I personally think NIU is a safer bet than tomorrow nights game... I think tomorrows game will be a blowout for Ball St. or a close win for them.

I can't see Kent St. competing in the game tonight. but good luck to you guru-t

Damn!!!I might let you talk me into this.
I love Rice-8 this weekend.Already in on this one.The line is up to 9 now.Better hop on before the line goes any higher.I'm a West V dude and know that Marshall can't keep up with any kind of high-powered offense!I know that Rice doesn't have a very good D but this game is screaming for a 45-21 finish.Conf Usa GURU!!!

Heres a safer play... OVER 51!

Both defenses suck. Its gonna be another scoring fest. They gave up 38 points to ****ing Temple!. Chad Spann is gonna run all over the place and so is EDELMAN. TAKE THE OVER!

NIU's defense got beat by Superman Nate Davis on the road, so has everyone else. Last week NIU completley shut down Dan Lefevour in the 2H. I don't think CMU even scored in the 2H.

I wouldn't say NIU's defense sucks, not by a long shot.

Remember also that NIU is playing for a bowl berth. What is Kent St playing for?

I am also on NIU but solely based on last weeks game and what I saw out of the QB. He had been spotty all season and I am hoping he continues playing like he did last week...

LOL, I guess you didn't play the Giants. That was the only pick I was 100% confident about. The others required work.

fvck...I fogot to check the weather, again. I've already placed my bet anyway. If this game goes to the ground, NIU has a huge advantage.

Iam shocked so many people are going with NIU. I thought i was going to be in the minority, after all the hype Kent St running game is getting.

NIU wins by at least 10 if not more ! Mark it dude

Anybody know why the line is so low... when NIU loses they lose to good teams. kent state is not a good team

I was thinking the same thing. I was also confused about CMU being a 4 point dog last week Vs NIU , I thought fosure i was going to be giving points but that didn't happen. So i took them on the ML instead. Its nice when it works out like that !

Vegas routinely gets the line wrong, sometimes way off. (G-men on Sunday)

Good call last night. How you hit Cleveland I have no idea. That was the hardest NFL game I've tried to cap this year. You were pretty sharp to be on the right side of that one.

Should throw some reasons out there though.Ballst looks good if ya go with the avg margin of victory arguement. Here's what did it for me!CMU lost at Georgia earlier this year when GA was #1 and overhyped. They lost again at PURDUE when they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. They both beat IU at IU.Other than that, they have both beat up on the MAC,so therefore I felt that 7pnts is a wonderful play in a otherwise even game.I really feel the CHIPS win outright here!!!Thoughts???
