Steve Kragthorpe has destroyed an elite program at Louisville. Last year he had Brian Brohm and the talent to be in a BCS discussion, and yet Louisville finished 6-6. This year, they're worse.
Kragthorpe has lost the faith of the fans, and now it's obvious his players have packed it in as well. He never should have been given the job at Louisville, and he needs to be an assistant in the Sun Belt rather than a HC in a BCS conference. If Kragthorpe can pull this off tonight, he deserves my money. But I'm positive he can't, even in the bad weather. Steve Kragthorpe, you have destroyed Louisville. I will not wager on your team to cover tonight's game because they are without heart, without hope, and without motivation. They know that you will not be around in 2009. A REAL Big East team will be on the field tonight, and they will be wearing black. CINCI -3 (-120) Last edited by St. Andrew; 11-14-2008 at 03:37 PM.. |

LOL!!! I just found the site calling for Kragthorpe's firing.
FireKragthorpeNow dat com Pittsburgh Thoughts 11/8/2008 A year ago, the battle between Pittsburgh and Louisville was best described as a clash between two incompetent millionaire coaches. One year later, Steve Kragthorpe made sure he held up his end of the bargain with a horrific 41-7 loss to Pittsburgh. Right from the start, Louisville looked like the horrible train wreck we have all come to know and love under Kragthorpe's reign of terror. While there has been improvement on the defensive side of the ball, it is clear Louisville football continues its terrible slide towards mediocrity and irrelevance. At this point, only the Kragthorpe dead enders remain optimistic. If the Syracuse loss turned the tide for many fans, FireKragthorpeNow believes the disastrous fourth quarter may well have been the moment when the players quit on Steve Kragthorpe. How else can anyone explain the lackluster effort, the penalties, the turnovers, the muffed punts, and the swing pass lateral that ended up as a Pittsburgh touchdown? With three games to go, the future for Louisville football is as bleak as it has been at any moment under Kragthorpe's tenure. One week ago, Louisville was a win away from a bowl game. Now, they are faced with the real possibility of a 5-7 season. At this point, FireKragthorpeNow feels the fans should turn their attention to the nation's best athletic director, Tom Jurich. Only he can make the pain stop. While he has given his full throated support to Steve Kragthorpe many times, we certainly hope he is thinking long and hard about terminating Kragthorpe's contract. College football is all about momentum and Louisville has absolutely none of it. Given the roster turnover we will see next year, it remains to be seen if Louisville can even match this year's win total. As we said last season, unless Jurich wants to turn the expanded portion of the stadium into a PODS storage facility, he must fire Kragthorpe. If Steve Kragthorpe has any respect for Louisville football, he should spend the weekend cleaning out his office. Tom, the ball is in your court. We hear Lane Kiffen is available. |

Cantwell laying on the turf at the end of the game, pretty much sums up Louisville's football team right now. What a joke, this team has fallen far.

honestly I don't think anybody would accept Petrino back even though most SANE UL fans admit he was amazing when he was here. To be honest, I think people in Louisville just want Kragthorpe gone. Not that much talk about who replaces him

I want Lane Kiffin, a 70+ yard field goal attempt would be epic with this team

I'm not sure about Fulmer, he did less with more talent than most coaches in the country. However, the SEC is a tough conference so I think he might be a decent guy to hire
