Alot has been said about Northern Ilinois's supposedly great defense, but it has been exposed against good competition. Both teams have faced only three teams who have a Sagarin rating above 70. In those games, Northern Illinois has given up an average of 35 ppg, while CMU has given up 36 ppg (one of CMU's games was against Georgia).

If you saw last week's game, you know that NIU's Chandler Harnish is no one to fear. Meanwhile, Both LeFevour or Brunner is capable of lighting up the field. In fact, Brunner has the far better yards per game passing.

CMU has had 11 days to rest, while NIU just got throttled by Nate Davis last week. CMU has won five games in a row, and I look for them to take this in a tight game. CMU has beaten Buffalo and Western Mich, Northern Illinois has beaten nobody. YOU don't get my bet until you prove yourself!! Show me the money NIU, and I'll gladly give it to you. Prove it first!!
