Question Usc -42.5 ?

I think the only way USC can cover that spread, is if they shut out Washington State. I don't think they will, because Washington State will probably put up at least 16. I came up with USC -25. So I feel Washington State +42.5 could be a good play.

Thoughts?

Where on earth are you getting 16 points for Washington State?!?!?

And as bad as that defense is, they will give up 56 even against backups.

I'm not saying Washington State isn't worth a look for other reasons (USC won't care at all about this game, they don't run up the score, they will use a basic play book, etc) but you have one of the country's best defenses averaging 9.4 points per game against (7 to Virginia, 3 to Ohio State, 10 to Oregon, 0 to ASU) giving up "at least" 16 points to a team averaging 10.5 PPG against division one opponents???

at 42.5 i think wsu would be a good pick. The weather is rainy and windy. If it rains tomorrow which the computer says it will, I beleive wsu won't be blown out by 42.5. just some info.

I think the smart play is to stay away. This is not a competitive game and USC's effort is in question. To many unknowns
