Default Pags' Plays 9/27

*Moving forward I'm going to post my matchbook plays each week so I don't have to endure further criticism regarding my record keeping. Most of the plays I make at matchbook are all at +100 or better. It's much easier for me to do the math as I don't spend much time each week on my calculator and like to focus on handicapping games.

I have already made my seven plays at bookmaker and realize that most people have no issues with my record keeping. I also realize it's much easier for people to check my thread Sunday nights and get all of my picks, rather than having to continually check my thread. However, this is what it has come to due to the drama a lot of posters want to create. Thanks for your understanding regarding this matter.

I'm confused, you are not going to post any of your bookmaker picks anymore?

unfortunately no Toby...I try as much as possible to help people here get a leg up, but it's not worth dealing with the BS I have to endure from keeping my plays on record as even money or units...therefore, I will post the numbers and juice lines I get from matchbook...although, many times I get +104, +106 and +110 with the games I play I will still record my record at even units...it's just much easier for me to do things this way, I'm not really worried at the end of the season about being up (recording things the new way) or down (recording things the old way) a couple of units because of it...I share my picks because I want people to benefit in following my plays and don't need haters or insecure peers using it to take shots at me...

O I guess I understand about the odds and stuff, and all the haters. I'm still new to alot of this and am still confused. You are still going to post your picks, you are just going to do it throughout the week with matchbook odds. I'm not worried about the odds at all, I use matchbook to, I just care about who you pick because you are right, it does give us a leg up. Is there anyway you are going to post who you made plays on yet or you could send them via email? Or are you just going to post them throughout the week? Thanks for everything so far.

sorry for the confusion.....i started following you this year and by what everyone has said you are up by end of year which is great. Some good weeks and some bad.

I guess my question is do I need to get on matchbook or are you posting your picks anywhere?

I would even take a PM if need be.

Thanks pags and keep up the good work!

toby,

thanks for understanding...yeah, I thought about posting the teams that I played and not the spread or odds, but then I thought if people are so concerned with my win/loss percentage and +/- units total then I will make sure that I follow things to a "T", posting plays immediately after they are made...I'm not sure the haters, many of whom I'm sure respect and and play many of the games I'm on, deserve the leg up...they've basically ruined it for everyone else...this way, other than just disagreeing with my picks, or saying that I'm cocky, they won't be able to use this to hate on me...

Pags, you do what you have to do, but I just don't mess with dumbshits who want to pick at my accounting. I can promise you that the last thing I am is an accountant. I cap football, you cap football, I like women, you like women, but these guys that come into our threads wanting to argue "juice" costs and accuracy of records are men who don't know shit about capping football and they like to pack the back end of men!

If a guy is looking in at my thread I expect him to either be searching for some info, seeing what I am on for the week, or tailing my picks, NOT doing my accounting! I had a couple of guys follow me over to my place from here and they wanted to argue accounting. They are now lurkers ONLY . . . .

Dude, just post your plays, I don't give a shit about seeing how well you balance your bank book at the end of the week . . . .

apmartin,

I apologize for the confusion, as I know things were much simpler previously...it isn't necessary that you get a matchbook account, if you decide to follow my plays you can obviously play them at any book...in this thread, I'm going to post the offers I get matched at matchbook throughout the week...so just keep checking back...

soonerbs,

thanks very much for your post...I understand completely what you are saying and totally respect it, and also respect you completely as well...we have been having success for many years and there will always be people like that out there...I am just choosing not to put myself in the situation anymore...I know that this hurts the vast majority but I just put too much time into all of this to have to deal with the BS...thanks for understanding my feelings on this...

Is it possible that you could just post the picks in a thread and then have a moderator lock the thread where it would just be viewable only?

does this mean your not gonna post your picks anymore or just not gonna post the juice lines?
I find your post very helpful when I am questionable about a game

amish,

not sure about that...

mike,

for sure I'll be posting my picks, just going to post the teams, line and juice when I make them at matchbook vs. the bookmaker games I used to post...I apologize for the inconvenience...

I'm still confused, all of this over people picking at your accounting. Why do you not just post the picks with no odds or anything just so the people who follow you and appreciate what you do, don't have to suffer at the few who want to cause drama. Maybe you could post them else where? I dunno I just hate that after 1 bad week, and a few who pick at the way you do things, now all of the people who truly appreciate what you do have to suffer and will miss out on your early analysis. Well, thanks for the first 4 weeks. Maybe just post your teams and add the lines and juice when you bet them at matchbook

so is there a forum on matchbook like this where picks will be posted? The sites I've used didn't have a forum that I was aware of.

I just registered on here to speak my piece. I'm in complete agreement that a lot of individuals here and honestly everywhere on sports forums can become a bit obnoxious, disrespectful, and downright ignorant. Also remember something the man has many resources. Those of which include having their pawns wreaking havoc when havoc needs to be applied. Your not only hurting all those dedicated, loyal, and appreciative few but your also helping the man get his way.

Do as you wish as I will respect you no matter what avenue you partake. Your one of the best and happen to be one of the few that has made me a better capper. Your the one that made me realize that grabbing early lines is a huge advantage. I thank you sir.

Hope you reconsider. I truly do. Take care of yourself

toby,

by doing it that way, I'm running the risk of the odds moving against me before my matchbook plays are made...

bean,

I will post the plays in this thread once I officially have offers matched...

voiceofreason,

thanks very much for your post...you make a lot of good points...but just put yourself in my postion...I'm doing all of this for free, why should I have to put up with this kind of BS?...I'll never go tout, ever, and I handicap recreationally but dealing with the drama just takes me away from handicapping and watching film...it's just easier for me this way...I'm sorry for being selfish, but this is going to be the way it is for the time being...thanks very much...

I've been a long time lurker and have to agree that I have enjoyed having a look at which way your money is going in College Football. It's good stuff.

If you go across the street you'll see me posting there for free and I dedicate myself not only to this sport but also baseball, NFL, and CBB. I have compiled a high rate of success and all those I've mentioned. I try to keep a low profile now with lower unit values to keep the attention off and guess what? Its worked. Obviously this is something you yourself can not do. Having said that a few years back I hit a real high percentage on NFL teasers and endured huge amounts of stupidity. I was also a bit bitter at first for the very same reasons you mentioned. I then had a good friend of mine tell me the same words I have uttered to you. The one thing I did forget to mention is that a thick skin is a must when dealing with these forums. Many here have axes to grind and other silly agendas in which only gets us off our game. If you don't like what people say ignore them...skip over it.

Someone mention a sticky no reply thread.

I'm sorry you feel so badly about the whole situation. Just know the majority here support what your doing. Good Luck

Pags...why Are You Letting These Assholes That Are Criticizing You Bother You......they Keep Coming To Your Thread Because They Cant Pick Good Teams Themselves. You Have One Bad Week And All They Do Is Cry. I Played All Your Picks This Week Also And Lost, But I Realize That This Comes With The Territory. I Still Believe In You And Will Continue To Ride With Your Picks....dont Let The Dumbasses Bother You Bro.

Pags,

...everyone has down week's but I know over a full year you'll be ahead, the year has just started so I'm not sure why you're getting criticized...I know if I followed all last year I believe it was +30 units for you for the season...keep doing what you do pags, and ignore those fukkers who criticize, I don't see them doing the research and analysis...the more people write the more we are informed and isn't that what this site is about?

Pags,

I registered on on SBR tonight just to post my support. Thanks for all your hard work. I usually stick to 2 or 3 NFL games each weekend, but when I started reading your past posts from last season and excellent insight on the games you cap it's very impressive. I bet we take a vote you have A LOT more supporters than haters and like everyone says they can eat my a$$. Guys that post negative things are ones that would never have the balls to say it to your face.

Mostly I read the forums for some amusement and a little insight. Your posts, I actually read, check out your plays, do a bit of my own research and am taking some NCAA games after a long time off them.

So a big heartfelt thank you for all you do and your plays. Keep up the great work.
