The below 9 games are my serious picks of the week. Enjoy them and use them to your advantage!!!!
California (-14)at Maryland, 12:00 PM Cal is really on their high horse right now. Maryland in a below avg. team. Cal should have no problem. Maryland can not score. They have 21 points in two games and they have played Delaware and Middle tenn. Should be an easy win for Cal. Temple at Buffalo (-6), 12:00 PM Temple can not score. Buffalo has an O and they are at home. The one should be a 2 touchdown win for Buffalo. Buffalo is coming off a lose to Pitt who is a heck of a Defensive team. They will be looking to get back their offensive spunk in this one. Georgia (-7) at So Carolina, 3:30 PM So. Carolina is an avg. team and Georgia is one of the real deals. This will be the game that proves just how good Georgia is. Even though they played a decent team in C Michigan, it gave them a lot of confidence on the O side of the ball. This should carry over into their SEC opener agaisnt a struggling So. Carolina team. Although the game is in SC this isn't too far away from Geo. The fans should follow their number 1 team in this one. Georgia Tech (+7)at Virginia Tech, 3:30 PM VT scored only 3 TDs agaisnt FURMAN!!! And they came in the 3rd quarter. GTs D is very very good. Their QB is very mobile and will be the best QB VT has faced. If GT doesnt win which I think they will, they will Def. cover the spread. Auburn (-10.5) at Miss State, 7:00 PM Miss st. is no match for Auburn. This is an SEC contest and may be the easiest one for all year for Aub. Auburn will look to make a statement agaisnt a SEC opponent. This is the 3rd (really 4th) game week with Franklins new offense in place. They should gel together this week. Southern Miss is a better team than Miss St. and Auburn beat them by 14. To be safe I would buy the .5 Middle Tennessee at Kentucky (-16.5),7:00 PM Kentucys D is playing great. Their fans are behind them and they play great at home. Mid Tenn is on their high horse after beating Maryland, but that was at home not at Lexington. Mid tenn gave up 31 to troy and only put up 17. Kentucys D will not allow more than 14. This atmosphere will carry the Wild Cats to a 20pt + victory. Ohio State at U-S-C (-10.5), 8:00 PM USC looks tuff. There is just too much D with USC. Even with Wells back I dont see Ohio St. giving them much of a challenge. In the back of there minds Ohio St. must be doubting themselves agaisnt USC after having such a close call agaisnt Ohio. The simple fact that in their heads Ohio St. thinks they might lose this game is the reason that USC will stomp them. USC believes that they will crush this team after seeing the weakness of OS. Football is just as much a mind game (if not more) as it is a physical game. North Texas at L-S-U (-41.5), 8:00 PM NT gave up 56 to Tulsa. LSUs O is much better than Tulsa and their D is much better. NT could give up 60+ pts and wont score more than 10 (and that is being nice). This is in Death Valley and this is the first game since the storm. LSU will come out and crush this team for the fans. Rice at Vandy (-7), 8:00 pm I have been ready up on this game add..... You can't go against Vandy. Tiger1230 said he was at the Memphis Rice game and saw Memphis put tons of pressure on Rice. Vandy is usually a bad team. Vandy is at home and they have to believe they are a bowl team. I dont see them over looking anyone this year. This game should be dominated by Vandy. If you can get them at 6.5 it should a big play! More games but not as solid as the above games.: U-A-B at Tennessee (-29.5), 12:30 PM UAB gives up 40+ points a game. They have not played a as fast of a team as Tenn. Tulsa only allowed 13 pts to UAB. The spread is a lot of points but with the combination of O and D that Tenn has I see Tenn whooping up on this team. Also, with Tenn coming off a loss to UCLA in a game that they gave up plenty of oppertunities, this is the type of game that should give Tenn a O boost. Foster (tenn RB) should have 4 TD himself. The only reason I am not so sure about this one is the spread Kansas (+3.5) at So Florida, 8:00 PM ?? Both teams are good. Kansas plays the spread and has a very talented QB, but SF plays the best agaisnt the spread. This game is a toss up. I am going to take Kansas only becuase Pags says so.Have to take this one down... Its just too hard to say. Grothe is hella good NC State at Clemson (-18.5), 12:00 PM NC State loses every game in the second half. William and Mary beat them in the 2nd half. Clemson will run away with this one in the 2nd Half. They have too much O for NCst. Clemson has to prove themselves to everyone again and they will look to make a statement. North Carolina at Rutgers (-5), 7:30 PM Rutgers lost very badly agaisnt Fres St. at home. This game is a must win for Rutgers at home! Rutgers had plenty of oppertunities in the game agaisnt Fres. With a week off to come up with a O scheme agaisnt NC and that D playing solid I see this one going to Rutgers. Im sure they have been practicing hard this week and they will be ready. Washington St at Baylor (+2), 12:30 PM Wash St. is trash. They give up a lot of points. Baylor is coming off a win in which they put up a lot of points. Baylor being at home is the deciding factor here. Baylor wins by one TD. Baylor has a new coach who came from Houston. Houston last year could score. This should be a pass happy game for B. May be Baylors biggest win of the year! Hawaii at Oregon State (-12), 4:00 PM How is this spread only -12 is beyond me. Hawaii is in a transitional stage. They are playing a real team this week. Their O is bad and their D is not much better. Oregon st. is too fast for them. Hawaii being away is bad bad news. I seriously doubt their will be many rainbows in the stands for this struggling team. ORST has yet to win a game and is looking for a boost this should be it! This one is down here because OrST is just so damn hard to read this year.

I also love the LSU pick! Thats my Game of the Week! Also I have another play that is just as strong as the LSU pick PLEASE dont sleep on this pick! Illinois - 24.5 vs. UL Laffayette! * I'm from Louisiana and I'm here to tell you that this game will be over at halftime! UL Laffayette lost to Southern Miss 51-21! Now just ask your self is Illinois better than Southern Miss! Illinois put nothing less than 60 on these boys! |

Good write-ups... disagree with you on a few of them, but still cool to get a fresh perspective on the games!

I think I am on everyone of your top picks but Auburn. I hate betting against Miss. St. at home, even though they blow. They always seem to step it up at least once a year against an SEC foe. I like Georgia for the fact that they are a better road team than a home team. Same goes for Auburn. I have also been looking at LSU. I was hoping for this one to drop to about 38 but it doesn't look like it is going to happen. I know they will win by at least 35 but 41 is a bunch of points. On the other hand I see them putting up at least 60. This will be a game time pick for me. Also, watch out for MTSU. This is a small rivalry game for them and they have a decent team this year. I haven't seen much of Kentucky yet except for their domination over a rebuilding Louisville team. Other than that I am also on:
Oregon Cal USC GT |

Kentucky just got off of suspension ethier 2 yrs or last year. Now they can give out more scholarships for football. Kentucy has always had a problem with D. This year their D has allowed only 5 pts all year. Louisville scored 2. Then Lou puts up 51 agasint Tenn Tech. I know Tenn Tech but its still 51 pts. Too strong of a D. Kentucys got this one
