With the number at Cal -13.5, I would lean to the Cougars. Though Cal returns nine starters on defense, they never blow anyone out. Just witness the game against Mich. State.

Apparently, Ok State scored 15 points on special teams and Wash. St mistakes.

I would really jump on this if the number moves up. Cal will try to ride its running game but year after year I see teams score on Cal.

OUt here on the West Coast ESPN radio talks about Cal possibly being a 9 win team....maybe second behind USC, I'd take Cal...

just got done watching the Oklahoma St. vs. Wazzu tape...Wazzu is not good...I like the Gibson kid at WR and the RB Tardy is alright...the new coach looked lost...that being said, I can't lay almost two TD's on the road with Cal's defense...they have strong linebackers, but their D Line is suspect as is their secondary...they definitely need to stick with Riley at QB...no opinion...

No way on Allah's green earth that Cal is a nine -win team. There is something about Tedford, perhaps a huge lean to offense, that prevents them from coming in better than 3rd or 4th in Pac-10. USC, Oregon, ASU and then Cal fighting with the rest for who goes to Holiday Bowl or Bell Helicopter Pallooza....At the end of the day I probably won't touch it....
