I normally don't make my actual bets for the weekend until Friday or Saturday, but here are a few lines that scream 'blowout' to me with fairly modest spreads. LMK what you guys think---
OKLAHOMA -21.5 vs CINCY
OU has the potential to beat anyone by 5+ TDs at home. They could be the best team in the country, and CIncy won't be as good as last year (returning 12 of 22 starter. I see this one getting ugly.
AUBURN -17 vs. SO. MISS
Auburn is a Top 10 team and So. Miss has a new coach an unexperience QB. I'm not taking consideration their 30-pt. win in Week 1, UL-Laf is terrible. If Auburn is as good as people say, this should be an easy one.
NEBRASKA -26.5 vs. SAN JOSE ST.
Nebraska destroyed a quality W. Michigan team last week while SJS barely beat UC-Davis. This is could be a 50 point win I think.
NOTRE DAME -21 vs. SAN DIEGO ST.
One would assume Notre Dame will be fired up early this year to prove themselves after last year's pitiful season. San Diego St. lost to Cal-Poly last week. I think ND makes a statement here and blows them out.
Or even score 3 TDs for that matter. I made a killing betting against Notre Dame last year, so it's going to feel surreal betting om them giving so many points. Can't remember the last time I was forced to root for them.
Keep in mind that SD State did give up 29 to Cal Poly and Notre Dame supposedly has a top 10 recruiting class every year?
I like Penn State (-16.5) to blow out Oregon State! They keep mentioning that Oregon State QB Moevao went 4-0 last year but he also had 2 TDs/6 INTs & had a pick returned for a TD last week too. The Beavers are also 1-10-1 ATS in their last 12 September games!
I'm not sure how good Penn St. is going to be this year, but I don't think Oregon St. is any good. Not exactly a stellar Stanford team they lost to. I think Penn St. will cover
Tulsa had 601 yards last week in beating UAB 45-22, will be playing North Texas who lost 45-6 to Kansas St...Tulsa has 3 returning receivers who each got over 1,000 yards last year and returning running back that got over 1,000 as well....how will North Texas stop these guys???...should be a nice win for Tulsa....
