It will absolutely impact the game this weekend against my Gamecocks. I know what you're thinking, yea heres another homer for the Lamecocks but it def. will make a difference. Other than AJ Green, there is no real other threat in UGA's receiving corps - well at least one has not emerged yet. One better step up and fill his shoes as UGA loses Green for not only the SC game, but they also host Arkansas (Sept. 18), and travel to Miss St. (Sept. 25) the following week. His loss certainly makes all these games "loseable" for UGA. I know this isn't basketball where the loss of the star player has a huge impact but without Green in the game defenses with solid, reliable corners are more likely to stack the box against the run as well as allow for man to man coverage allowing more blitz packages. UGA is a team already committed to the ground game but will certainly have to rely more so on solid O-line play and rushing game. Green is certainly a player that demands the respect of defenses whether he is catching balls or decoying to allow for swing passes, screens, end arounds, or whatever. The good news is UGA will certainly appeal the suspension but its a definite that he will miss the SC game

. Hopefully for UGA he can reduce the suspension from 4 games to 2 because he will be dearly needed against the Razorbacks and the Bulldogs of Miss St. Then again if SC can beat the dawgs this Sat, I wouldn't mind him missing those games as it would increase the chances of the Yard Chickens contending for the East title!
