Hawaii @ Nevada +7 & UNDER 79 TONIGHT
In the last 7 times these guys have played each other, dating back to 2000, the home team has won, mixed with Brennan concussion, I see this not as high as the book is showing it, and Hawaii out right losing.
I'm pretty strong on the under 79 and going to play it two units. Probably going to wait and see if I can get Nevada at +7.5.
Your thoughts?

I like the OVER... Both of these teams throw the hell out of the ball and this is going to make for a longer game with more possesions... Giving these teams more possesions is like giving Ray Lewis steriods...
I never play anything until just before game time but I am considering over for 10 units...

WOW 10 units. why so much?
Usually when Hawaii is on the road they don't score even close to what they do at home.
Also I don't trust Nevada. Look who they've beat in the last three weeks, 4-7 New Mexico state, 1-9 Idaho, and 0-10 Utah State. I think there offense isn't as good as they seem. I might double check your 10 unit beat.

Well I really like it that's why but maybe it won't be quite that high we'll see how it looks closer to game time..
Both Defenses are NOTHING to speak of... They both allow a ton of yards and the Warriors moved on Fresno's Defense in the first half like they weren't even there...
If these two go into OT they might double the total...

ill be playin a 1/2 unit play on nevada tonight, just to have some action on a fri night, however i do think they will beat hawaii 2night, colt is going to be a game time decision and i have a feeling he is not going to play. . . but either way i really dont think the over is the play here, i dont play totals anymore but if i did i would play nevada under . . .
looking for a close game, and a lil lower scoring then expected. . .

i don't think hawaii is looking past nevada at all but i also don't think there is anything they can do about the wolfpack offense. nevada's o-line has been very effective against even a pretty decent boise squad. should be a good game!

FYI.........Live in Hawaii, here's the latest as of last night.....Per UH and June Jones, Colt is cleared to play. He only took less than 5% of the first team snaps, while backup Graunke and 3rd Funaki took the bulk of the first team snaps. Per Guy Morrision, QB coach, Graunke and Funaki will see snaps in the game. I don't think Colt will start, even if he does, June Jones has a thing about starting people who practice the whole week. Look for Graunke and Funaki to start, probably swapping series, even downs on drives. Colt will probably come in maybe 2nd qtr latest, maybe earlier, depends on how UH DEF holds up.
Keys to remember, NEV QB is a redshirt freshman with only 5 games under his belt. NEV has a great running game behind the QB and RB, RB leads the WAC in rushing, while UH leads the WAC in rush DEF. We all know both teams can throw the ball, with both teams in the top 10 in pass eff. Hawaii has lost the last 4 trips to Reno, but are on the longest road winning streak in school history.
If Colt does not start, I don't see UH jumping out and scoring early like they normally do. I really like NEV at the half. Won't touch the game, if Colt comes in during the 2nd half or later, the score and complexity of the game can change dramatically. I really think Colt will come out gunning for recognition.
My bet, NEV at the half +4.5, UH for the game -7 and the under. Don't think the game will go over, UH hasn't given up that much points lately, and UH DEF Co McMackin is looking at this game to make a statement to Boise St.

As someone said, Brennan not start. In any case, if Haw gets ahead by 2 or 3 tds, I see them running more to shorten game and maybe taking Brennan out to protect against further injury and save him for Boise. I favor UNDER heavily.

I will sit out on the over. Brennan probably will not play the whole game. And, I think Hawaii will slow down Nevada's running game pretty seriously. I don't see Nevada scoring more than 15 or 20.
I'm in for one unit on Hawaii -7 and one unit on Hawaii -6. I think this is a gift folks.
As bueller points out, Nevada hasn't beat anybody. Here are their wins: Nicholls State (Division Whatever), UNLV (2-8), Utah State (0-10), Idaho (1-9), New Mexico State (4-7).
Yes, Nevada put in a dang nice effort at Boise State. And the whole world watched that very memorable game. I believe that is causing a lot of money to go to the Nevada side here.
Another thing: be careful thinking Nevada has a good pass defense. I don't think it's so great. Nevada has a bad run defense, and their better opponents have not had to pass against them much. Keep in mind, pass defense stats can be deceptive that way. In the NFL, the Raiders and Dolphins are ranked 4th and 5th in pass yards given up per game. Wins and losses are the key stats.

Line's going down late because after it moved down to 6.5 on Thursday, a lot of us waited for it to get back to 7, realized it ain't happening and just now getting on it.
