This is a scary game as ND allows 190+ ryds/g.

Although Navy doesn't pass much, dead last at 107/g, ND's #112 at 153/g. Navys Pass Efficiency Off is #22 at 138.4-5 TD- 8.9y/att while ND's # 118 with 94.3-4TD-4.76/att. So when Navy does pass, they are effective. ND not.

    Navy's Total D #105-459y/g-38 TD's.
    ND TDef # 57-372y/g -28TD's.

    Sag's SOS:
    ND #1 80.25
    Navy #52 69.63

    ND's faced the #s 4,7,12,20,21,36,42, and 56 TDefs. and avg 10 pts/g.
Navy's faced the #s 22,23,43,54,95,101, and Delaware. Vs teams with TDef ranks comparable, Navy scored 48,24-2X,31, and 30. ND scored 14-3X,19, and 20. I know most of ND's TD's were due to opps TO's.

A lot people think this is ND's 2nd W, but I can't bank on a putrid Off and a tired Def...even with the week off. I realize Navy lost to Delaware LW 59-52, but how many know Del is ranked #7 in the FCA poll?

Who cares what they are ranked they are a D1-AA school any way you look at it. People said that APP State is a a great team and they have lost twice to D1-AA opponents. There is a huge difference in talent between them and Deleware scored on 8 straight offensive possessions in that game. Navy is not very good nor is Notre Dame. Better games on the board than this one. I'd pass....

Delaware can beat half the teams in 1A on any day. I don't recall a year where so many 1AA teams beat 1A teams.

Agree both teams are not good and betting on a game where both teams are bad is asking for trouble.
I threw out the Del ranking as an after thought as I just saw it myslf. I used to totally dismiss games involving the D2 teams as a look past by D1 opps. Guess I should only consider the ranking when the game is actually being played and who the D1s next opp is.
I am passing this game as well as SOS heavily favors ND and Off favors Navy, but Def favors ND. As you stated, better games on the board.

With Delaware, Navy was caught in a look ahead to their big game with ND and the chance to break the losing streak that is over 40.

I only saw Navy vs Pitt and neither team could stop the other. Could Pitt beat ND? I think so --- but not for sure, I guess. But I doubt that ND could run through Pitt as Navy did.

I want Navy to win and think they can. Not sure about betting on it.

Navy and the points for me. Expecting a good game here.

Has Notre Dame looked good in any game this season?

    BB,
You're all over it, as usual!

Navy's defense is absolutely pathetic. Good boys. Trying hard. Will do a great job defending the country. No defense!!

Navy is effective when they do pass because their recievers are wide open on every play. The defense has all they can handle trying to figure out the triple option.

me n you are both on the opposite end of the spectrum!
Nothing in sports is a Lock...the sooner you learn that bradley, the better off you will be.
None of my picks are locks for the very reason that there is no such thing as a lock cuz anything can happen in sports!

i dont know if anyone follows tennis here but just 2 weeks ago, roger federer lost to unseeded [even] david nalbandian <--a game which everyone thought is a lock cuz how can federer lose to an unseeded player but then again it happened.

Always remember the golden rule:: Anything can happen in sports n for that very reason there r no such thing as locks!

Notre Dame has so much more talent than Navy and they should be hungry to finally play a weak oponent. The should win this one easily.

A pass for me but if i had to play.... I would probs roll the dice with ND and wait for -3 if possible.
