Alabama's drubbing of Florida in what should have been, for all intents and purposes, the BCS National Championship, how they handled it, and worked against a fast, physical defense as well as offense is the indicator of why they are favored, and rightly so. Texas, as deserving as they may be didn't get their yearly test from Oklahoma, and we saw how they played in that game. The key to Alabama covering this spread is the D-Lines pressure and containment of McCoy. McCoy, like Tebow is the lifeblood of Texas' gameplan...Saban, given a well over a month to prepare for the task with the defensive crew he has is reason enough for me, but better still, Alabama's running game isn't its entire arsenal, this team is rounded, and takes care of the ball (only 10 lost fumbles ALL YEAR) and one of the least penalized teams in the country...meaning they won't beat themselves.
