This game confuses me, but here goes: Northwestern is making their 7th bowl visit in a decade and a half and havent won since the '48 Rose...but they did cover their last 2 of 3 and wrapped up this season on a 3-game win streak...all as dogs...covering by 43pts. QB Kafka finished 2nd in the Big 10 with 264YPG.

In the last 15 seasons, Auburn has been bowling 12 of them. Opened season 5-0 with 4 ATS covers and 250+YPG average rushing and throwing before a 3 game slide which included giving Alabama all they could handle. One would think that QB Todd (2,300 and 21TDs), Tate (1,200 RY and 8TDs) and toss in WR Adams (18YPC average and 10TDs) would be more than Northwestern can handle.

But but but...the dog is 13-1 and in Northwestern games and 28-16 ATS in Auburn games. Oh, and by the way Auburn hasnt won a bowl game by more than a field goal in the last 6 years.

So if youre a numbers kinda player - Northwestern and the points. If you look at the Big 10 vs SEC (namely a much stronger Ohio State team in the past couple of years), its the SEC all the way to the bank.

Ohio State gets run over by Oregon. Oregon has too much speed for the Bucks. You have Pryor against the Oregon big 3 of Masoli, Blount and James. I will admit that if the Big 10 was ever going to win another Rose Bowl, this would be the year, but I do not see that happening.

I see LSU defeating Penn State also. Penn State will need a near perfect game from their QB Daryll Clark to win. LSU is also going to need a very good game from their QB. This game will be the closest of the 3 mentioned. It could also be the lowest scoring of the 3.

Auburn should handle Northwestern, but never sell Northwestern short. That team knows how to give 110% on every play in every game. Auburn will need a good offensive performance to win this game.

Now I probably will be wrong on one of these games, so let's say 1-2 for the Big 10. Maybe 0-3. Outside chance of 2-1.

I think Aub pass defense negates NW pass attack. NW's rush attack should be trivial....bad rush attack vs bad rush defense. Aub pass game is poor and so is NW's pass def. Like all three Big 10 teams today, with Ohio State my top pick, followed by Northwestern and Penn State.

I think Nothwestern can stay close. Auburn is not that good to be this big a favorite.

Penn State is just a hunch play. Really like Ohio State's defense to shut down Oregon.

I'm having a hard time with the PSU vs. LSU game. I can seriously see this as a high scoring affair. Both team will be putting up points. PSU's D is not that good, and they have enough talent on Offense to put up points. LSU will keep scoring with them. I'll take LSU and the Over.

Couldnt agree more. WTF? Why not take the ball away from the potent NW offense by grinding those bitches up like sausage with the ground game. Makes no sense to me.
