Yea Oregon sucked. Its really something how bad the pac 10 is this year. Terrible. I was right about Florida and hammered them every which way, I didnt post it because I was at a bar so I wont include it in my record. I was shocked to see the board hammering cinci.....They couldnt even get a play off.

    YTD:
    93-64 +119.3
    Bowls:
    5-2 +25.5

Im thinking of taking TCU tomorrow, still looking into it.

Texas is the play in the NCG!!!

They are very underrated and people are putting WAY TOO MUCH STOCK in the final games of the season. Alabama looked great against Florida but they were waiting for that game all year. I'm not so sure Florida took them as seriously as they should have.

I've seen Alabama struggle against a weak Tennessee and Auburn team. I've also seen Texas struggle against a weak A&M team. Nebraska is not weak though, look what they did to Arizona. 33-0.

Anyone who has watched college football for more than one year knows momentum does not carry into bowl games. It's better to evaluate an entire season rather than the end of the season games. Another important factor is coaching, which is an even draw if you ask me. Mack Brown has proven himself to be a great coach on the big stage and we all know Saban is a great coach.

    This game is a tossup.

    hardly.

Bama struggled against TN yes......so Did Florida. Monte Kiffins defense is for real. Its a rivalry game, just like Auburn. If you are putting no stock in the final games of the year I think that bodes well for bama NOT texas. I watched texas struggle with Colorado, A&M, and the Big 12 was NOT that good this year. Any time they faced a D (Oklahoma and Nebraska) they couldnt do shit. This game just like the SEC championship relys on Greg McElroy, if he plays like he did against Florida this one will get ugly. Do you realize how much better Floridas defense is than texas'? Yes Texas has athletes and this isnt a walk in the park, BUT this is NOT the same thing as Vince Young facing USCs 60th ranked defense. Going into that game anyone who knows shit knew Texas had a shot in that game. This year they are facing the best defense in the land. Do you remember how many times Oklahoma put Colt on his ass? They would have gotten waxed if it wasnt for Bradford going out early.

p.s. Nebraska rolling Arizona means nothing, the pac10 is absolutely awful. Alabama just came out of the hardest conference and slapped the defending champs, Texas squeeked out of a VERY weak Big12.

The great Tyrod Taylor of VT made Tennessee's defense look like swiss cheese. Alabama made them look like the Steel Curtain. All I'm saying is I don't understand why people ignore Alabama's struggles. Tennessee and Auburn are not good teams.

And Texas did not struggle against Colorado, unless 38-14 is a struggle.

Again you keep going back to the Florida game, and I agree, they looked great in that game. But I find it hard to believe Florida played their best game, that's all I'm saying. And I think Bama played as well as they possibly could. I just think if you look at the overall picture of the year then Bama only has a very very very slight edge, if any at all.

Don't believe me??? Watch the Justin7/Peter Loshak preview of the NCG. He has Alabama capped as a half point favorite. That seems about right to me. That's why Texas' point spread and Texas ML look like quality bets. I'm not saying he's right all the time, but the man knows betting and the man knows numbers.

They were losing for a while, didnt they struggle at first against Wyoming? Texas is not as good as they were last year, and last year they barely squeeked out a win against Ohio St. They clearly didnt belong. Alabama has faced WAY tougher defenses. But answer this, IF oklahoma knocked Colt on his ass that many times what do u think arenas and mcclain will do with the best blitz packages in the country?

Also pointing to some other handicappers opinion as a point for argument is kind of funny. I do agree those guys know their shit but come on.

Texas isn't as good as they were last year? You do know they lost a game last year, right? And the Ohio State game, ok sure, I'll give that to you. They could've been better. But correct me if I'm wrong, didn't Alabama get manhandled by Utah in their bowl game last year??? At least Texas won theirs, against a BCS conference opponent at that.

I will agree with you, Alabama has a great defense. But they don't have a pass rusher like Suh for Nebraska or Gerald McCoy for Oklahoma. Their best D-lineman is Cody, who is a run-stopper. He is not a great pass rusher. In fact their entire D is built mostly for run-stopping. Big 12 defenses like Nebraska and OU are built to stop the pass because the Big 12 is a passing conference. It will be interesting to see how Alabama's defense holds up.

Ralphie, I think you are the first person I found that hates LSU more than me. I grew up in South East Texas and ever fukking hick wanted to go to LSU because they knew they could not get into any good schools in Texas. I just hate everything LSU and their fans stand for, they have one good season and you can't get them to stop wearing yellow shoe leases and those ugly purple hats... nasty!

Lastly , I think LSU is the only school where majority of the fans never even graduated high school let alone went on to college.

If you are gonna look at things look at all of it.....T.N. came off a bye week,Auburn came off their bye week and its a rival game and Bama had a short week due to Thanksgiving......Are you forgetting what Bama did to Vtech the first game of the year(14 of Vtech score was special teams)....Bottom line give Nick Saban 33 days to prepare combined with Bama's talent and me being a homer....Bama wins and covers easy

Bama got whooped by Utah, but did you know Bama had 4 offensive linemen in that game that played positions they never played before and for a team that relies on the run, facing a quicker defensive line once you put in that half of a second where the offensive lineman has to think about his assignment and not react instinctivly, the advantage of snap count is gone. all of that being said Bama tried to resort to the pass and did not have the qb play to be able to deliver. I could only wish we had a SUH on are D line, we dont and obviously you watch highlights not games. Cody is a good run stopper but he is not our best D lineman, he is our version of the bears william perry. 6 people on Bama's D has 5 or more sacks. Neb had 106 yds against Tex I believe Bama will fair much much better. As far as the pass oriented big 12 I say see Bama against Ole miss and Ark. 2 very pass oriented teams where Bama played 10 different dbacks each game. So when the smoke clears and Bama wins by double digits....

Yes Texas was better last year. They lost a game? Yea because a pro reciever michael crabtree scored with one second left. They were one second away. They had a better running game and Orakpo on D. Yes Cody is a run stopper but if you think mcclain cant rush you are out of your mind.

Guys guys all of you have great points about each team. But I have to side with Ralphie here, Oklahoma and Nebraska defense did shut down Texas. But what concerns me is both teams have over a month to prepare and that means throw the regular season stats out the window for both teams.

** But this is a true statement that people need to realize. Will Muschamp of Texas is a defensive guru and a Saban clone. I believe with a month to prepare he can come up with a great gameplan to control Bama rushing game.

Yeah but Tennessee shut down Alabama as well.

Still don't understand why this is ignored. But I guess if you want to ignore, be my guest. Push that line farther towards Alabama and I'll hammer Texas even harder.

Marcel Dareus and Eryk Anders. You will see them on Colt's ass early and often.

I would also match up Bama's secondary with any passing game in the country. They cause havok and bring the pain when a receiver actually catches a ball.

Not to mention Arenas and McClain which is the best blitz package i have seen in a while.

I told you the other night I was thinking about the under, but with so much on a side I dont want a loss on the total take away from my bama winnings. Bama hung 30+ on floridas D. I think the under is solid just havent pulled the trigger yet.
