Default Wow, Bowl games start next week. RU Kidding me?

Damn, the season is really over for CFB. The fricking bowl games start next week

Ok, I might as well start the bowl season with a couple of gifts.

    Fresno State -11 versus Wyoming.

This game will be close in the first half and Wyoming may even be up but Fresno will storm em in the 2nd half. Take Wyoming first half line and Fresno St. for the game.

    Central Florida +2.5 vs Rutgers
UCF is under the radar and they are bringing a bunch of folks to St. Pete. This is virtually a home game for UCF. UCF's passing game is pretty good but their run defense is very good and will stop Rutgers on the ground. I think this may be a shoot out to an extent with UCF pulling this game out in the end. Take UCF ML here

I like the UCF play, but there are two things that concern me. First, you have the CUSA vs the Big East. That is a bit of a concern because UCF was not competitive in games against Miami (Fl) or Texas. Second is the bowl records. UCF has made two appearances in bowl games in the past 4 years, and is 0-2 (1-1 ATS), while Rutgers has won their last 3 Bowl games and is 2-1 ATS, the loser being by 1/2 point. 2 1/2 points may not be enough here. I would need at least 3 1/2 to consider it.

Fresno State-Wyoming seems like a complete mismatch. Just look at who Wyoming beat. Weber State. New Mexico. They did not beat a team that was .500 or over. Fresno State did beat a bowl bound team, and gave Wisconsin and undefeated Cincinnati all they could handle. The only knock on Fresno State is that they tend to play up to, or down to their opponents level. Fresno State was 6-5 ATS. Good Luck with both of these.

Your point on UCF is well taken, but Rutgers hasn't really beaten much either. They lost to the three best teams they faced (Cincy, Pitt, West Va) and they lost to a Syracuse team handily (31-13) that is probably a worse team than UCF. In fact, looking at Rutgers' wins, it is hard to say what is the best team they have beaten. I suppose South Florida or Connecticut?

At least UCF beat Houston, who is probably better than the lower echelon Big East teams Rutgers beat. I think I like UCF on the Money Line here.

If you are going toplay the game, the ML is the right play. If I am correct, out of the 34 bowl games last year, two were decided by 1 point, and one was decided by 2. The other 31 were 3 points or more. So if you are taking a dog of less than 3 points, you may as well take the +120 or +125 instead of laying -110. I think that is your best play on this game, if you are going to take UCF.

UCF is preparing for this game like it's their superbowl. This is a program changing game for UCF. This will be their first Bowl victory in the history of the program. Folks are geeked out of their minds for this game. The stadium sucks (built for baseball) and the crowd noise may be somewhat muffled but 2/3 will be UCF fans.

-UCF is playing in a bowl game against a BCS Team that looks to be a great match up. UCF can stop the run...
-Its only a 2 Hour Car drive from campus
    -Tickets are only $30
    -Expecting 15,000-20,000 UCF fans

Why do you think the line is so low??? UCF is the play here my friends.

UCF shut down Miami and UT rushing. They were gashed in the passing game in both of those games (McCoy and Jacory both were in the zone) but neither team could run against UCF. Rutgers is a better passing team this year then in the past but they still like to run first. If they can't establish the run it gets very difficult for them as an offense. Unless Rutgers passing game have a miraculous day, I don't see them moving the ball much.
