Texas to wreck house, Ass&M to lick wounds for next 5 years

This is my first time posting. I think 21 points is a lot of chalk to lay in a Rivalry game and I would not be surprised to see the line move even closer towards TAMU +18-19 by kickoff. If I were to play this game I would lean towards the over and I am going to go with my gut and say my horns hook 'em by a score of 45-21.

A&M plays them tough and this year will be no different, actually love the fact the Horns have been rolling because we get a ridiculous number above 21

    A&M +21.5

I see we have more dreamers wanting to throw their money away on an A&M money line wager. Texas is very aware of the fact that A&M has been a pain in the tail of late, but straightened out that little problem last year. Texas's 2nd string could beat A&M. As far as the spread goes, I see no great value either way so it is a pass.

I'm not saying the Aggies (my alma mater) will beat the Longhorns, it was more of a pipedream. But I do think they will cover the spread. A&M's offense is more than capable of moving the football down the field in a hurry. Their defense will give up big plays, but they should he able to answer with enough points to cover; especially because the game is played in College Station. I've seen the Aggies beat UT plenty of times recently... but this Longhorn team is probably the best I've seen it since their National Championship run. I would love to see UT go down tomorrow not because I'm an Aggie, but because I want to see the Gators/Crimson Tide play the Horned Frogs for the National Title. Oh and BTW, Texas' 2nd string could NOT beat A&M.

Yeah but no one has put up more than 20 on Texas all year, and even then it's a very rare occasion. But what about the Aggie defense? They gave up 35 to Colorado

As of now, my biggest play will be Texas. That may change to the over by tomorrow night though...

I thought this line would be higher and it isn't. Somehow I think this rival game could be closer than we all think.

No, it will be a massacre. Texas will have A&M so confused they will think Fran is still their coach.

21 is alot of chalk, but I wouldn't doubt if it moves even higher.

This game will come down to a couple of things, the main one in my opinion being...

    Which A&M team shows up?
The one that plays great at home. Relatively mistake free on special teams with little or no interceptions by Jerrod Johnson (he was the last QB in college football to throw an interception and broke the Big 12 record of 228 passes without an interception this year.) If this happens, A&M will live up to the #7 Total Offense ranking in the NCAA. They always cover the ATS at home

    or

The "Road" Team who is a constant disappointment. They have been just awful on the road. Maybe its coaching, lack of preparation, or the fact that this is an ridiculously young team with a horrible offensive line. They have a terrible offensive line. That is not their downfall, but rather the SLOPPY play. They fumble the ball like crazy every time they play a road game. They have the worst, by far, special teams in college football. They dont have a kickoff/punt returner and it hasn't gotten better throughout the year. Last week @ OU, they fumbled punt/kickoffs SIX straighttimes although they recovered a couple. That led to the lopsided score. Texas, in my opinion, has the best special teams and specializes in Fumbles/Interceptions for TDs, as well as Kickoff and Punt Returns fo TDs. If A&M isnt carefull, special teams will be the deciding factor in the ATS. They are 1-4 ATS on the road this year. This game, as you know, is at home.

This team really is like night and day. It all depends on if they show up to play.

Texas has to account for Von Miller AT ALL TIMES. He has been an absolute beast this year. He leads NCAA with 15 sacks, 3 more than the guy after him. He can pressure Colt and disrupt the offense if they become too pass happy. They are gonna need their 4 running backs to run the ball often and effectively.

Texas can not overlook the aggies. This is their superbowl. This is their bowl game. This game means more to the fans and team than any other game - and that probably includes whatever bowl they get. Most people already think Texas is a lock for a national championship and if they dont watch out the next 2 games, they could get a scare.

In the 2 games, A&M beat Texas in the past 3 years.. they went very run heavy, kept the clock moving, moving the chains. This year's A&M offense is much more pass happy and doesnt have as great of running game. That could be a problem. As for the defense, A&M has shut down Colt before. He's 1-2 vs A&M and been terrible in those 2 losses. While a loss is very unlikely, almost impossible, covering could happen. Don't forget that these are 18-21 year old kids. Anything can happen in a rivalry game.

What do I personally think will happen?
A&M will come out looking excellent in the 1st quarter. Maybe score first and be competitive before Texas starts picking apart the aggie porous defense as the game goes longer. I see a 42-27 Texas Victory.... By the way, Not a chance in hell that Texas' 2nd string can ever beat A&M. Thats ridiculous.

Dose not really matter which A&M Team shows up Texas is the same team every game a head stomping team. Now team pride aside............ Texas will adapt to whatever A&M will bring to the table. The one and only question is............... How long will it take them if adaption is necessary, I do not believe it will be an issue. Texas will go undefeated this year. HOOK EM' HORNS!!!!!!!!!!

I also jumped in with the over 62.5. Let's hope for a track meet!

I did not play the game, and judging by the results of this informal poll, Vegas will be very happy to keep the game at -21. I have no doubt that Texas wins this game. The only thing I question is the possibility of a back door cover by A&M after Texas has put this game away and pulled it's starters. I would also play the under in this gaem, because ball control and clock control is A&M's only chance at victory. They do not have the offensive weapons to get into a track meet with Texas.

Have you seen UT in the first half of games this year? They have been very pedestrian in the first half and usually come out sleeping. The only line I like in this game is TAM 1st quarter and 1st half. I can see them coming out strong and may even lead but UT will step it up in the 3rd.

1st half TAM, 2nd half or 3rd quarter UT. Game a coin flip...
