I want reasons not to take Arizona -3 over Ariona St. Arizona St looked AWFUL and it appeared to be a gift is disguise when their starter went out versus Oregon. He was the only guy that looked 1/2 decent. Weak arm but he could atleast move. I think Arizona wins by 14-17...

Arizona looks to be the better team in this spot, but looks are sometimes deceiving. The Cats just blew their season last week with the OT loss to Oregon, after the students started to rush the field prematurely. IMO I'd be careful here, this is a huge Rivalry game, and Arizona St. will be up for this one.
This is a rivalry game. Arizona left everything on the field last week in a loss. Their fans behavior was unspeakable and undefensable. They are going to be flat. Rivalry or no rivalry, you will not be able to pump this team up. They are facing another game at USC. All Arizona has to look forward to is a trip to Las Vegas, or San Diego (Pointsettia Bowl), or San Francisco. Arizona State has nothing to lose and everything to gain. This game is anything but a lock.

Probably will be in attendance for this game and I am not a fan of using the "L word" but Arizona is looking really good despite a tough loss to a faster and more explosive Oregon team. Starting last year after getting out of the hot seat Stoops has really turned the U around and Dennis Erickson is looking way too much like Dirk Koetter who was always happy settling with a bowl such as the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl... I see UofA by double digits.

My only problem with AZ is the rivalry factor. It is the same reason I like Utah +7.5 this week with BYU. I think I am going to just stay away from this one though. Good luck to you though!

I agree with Arizona. Be careful about Wake--they've played just as inconsistently as most of the other teams in the ACC this year.

I love guys who have not won a single wager and come storming in here screaming Lock. Give me one reason to buy that. The streets of Vegas are filled with guys who wagered on "Locks". 38 posts and this guy is screaming "Lock". If Arizona wins, he will be back. If not, he is gone. Of courese he will not wager on the game himself.
lock is a foolish label to place on this game.
that being said, i like zona -3 quite a bit. QH makes a great point about the emotional hangover, but being a huge rivalry game, they should be able to get back up.

Zona is second in the pac 10 in total offense, while ASU leads the pac 10 in D. However, Arizona is also decent on D (ranked 58th overall scoring D and ranked 28 in road rush D) while ASU has no real offense (ranked in the bottom 16 in the nation in home rushing)
ASU is also -10 turnover margin last 5 games. not good.
If the game were tucson, I'd go bigger.
In tempe, its just a very sexy bet...not even close to a lock.
