    Default thoughts on Notre Dame/Stanford

I'm curious what everyones opinion is on the game. ND has horrible run defense but Stanford has horrible pass defense. I put some money on it with the Jimmy Clausen news hoping to get a steal but it looks like he will play according to ESPN

My analysis - Notre Dame sucks, pass on their games or go against them.

    Good luck with your decision.

Notre Dame seems to play close games. Don't like ND and doubt I will play but I would take the points +8.5. I will be interest in the total if its under 60. Play the over.

For years, Stanford's football team has been as flakey as their band. If Stanford really wants to play, they could crush the Irish, but the problem is that Stanford runs hot and cold, and no one knows which faucet will be turned on this Saturday. The record speaks for itself. This team beats Oregon and USC, but loses to Wake Forest and Cal minus their best player. If anything, take the Irish and grab as many points as you can. The best play is to pass on this game.

stanford plays well at home. Cross country trip for ND, after an embarresing home loss on senior night to a big east foe after which the star qb gets in a bar brawl and bruises his face. fade teams with a lame duck coach. ND's rush D cant stop gerhart. Nds offense hasnt exactly looked keep-you-in-any-game-impressive lately. All signs, IMO, point to stanford victory. Is 8.5 too much? well, I booked it at 7.5. but Id take this line all the way 9.5.

The line is up to -10 and -10.5, will it keep climbing higher?

If Stanford plays so well at home, can someone explain what happened against Cal last week, with the Rose Bowl on the line?

QH, your certainly sharp enough to know you cant grade a team on one game. besides, cal has played really tough since best went out. everyone stepping up. The O has looked really strong against zona and stanford.

anyone who watched those games saw that.

my own thought is that clausen won't be psychologically right after the incident early sunday morning. even if you did get sucker-punched, you could imagine he may have been very drunk and may have some behaviour he's not proud of. anyway, highly embarassing for him any way, and usually this stuff takes awhile mentally to recover from (trust me, i know, as i'm sure a few others do too)

ND couldn't stop CN's run attack, and stanford is much better (i think)

Notre Dame will keep it close... they always do. I'd take Notre Dame and the points.

Stanford bounce back after last weeks implosion. Whether ND's QB plays or not will make no difference. Stanford cover. Take it to the bank.
