    Default Buffalo Inury Update

This season hasn’t gone like Buffalo receiver Naaman Roosevelt expected.

His senior season hasn’t come close to his record setting junior campaign. Although he’s still Buffalo’s leading receiver with 954 yards and Nine catches, his team will not go to a bowl and he’ll fall short of the 1,400 yards he put up last year.

Tuesday evening, the news for Roosevelt became worse.

Roosevelt will miss tonight’s game against Miami (Ohio) with an unspecified knee injury.

This after racking up a career-best 165 yards and three touchdowns against Ohio last week, his best performance since grabbing six catches for 157 yards and two touchdowns against Pittsburgh earlier in the year.

The loss to Ohio knocked the Bulls (3-7, 1-5 MAC) out of bowl contention. Last season, Buffalo won the East Division and then stunned the conference by beating previously undefeated Ball State in the conference championship. Ball State also will miss a bowl game this season.

Roosevelt already owns the school record in receiving yards, and the season finale against Kent State on Nov. 27 might be his last opportunity to add to the 3,551 he’s already put up.

Ike Nduka is still out too. Going with senior Mario Henry and true freshman Jeffvon Gill at RB. Without Naaman, Senior WR Brett Hamlin and Senior TE Jesse Rack will have to have a big game. Buffalo should win this game easily, but the game is meaningless to both teams, and could go either way.

    GO BULLS!
