    Hot and Cold Bowl Teams

One of the things I like to look at when the Bowl Season starts is how each team fared S/U in their last 5 games. Here is a list of the "Hot" teams and the "Cold" teams.

    Who is "Hot".

Bowling Green. 5-0. Opponent Pitt, 2-3.
Louisville. 5-0. Opponent Miami, 2-3, 2-0 in their last two.
Middle Tennessee. 5-0. Opponent Navy, 4-1 (if they defeat Army)
    Rice. 4-0. Opponent Miss. State. 2-3 (2-0)
South Carolina. 5-0. Opponent Wisconsin, 4-1.
Michigan State. 9-0. Opponent Stanford, 4-1.
    UCF. 8-0. Opponent Baylor. 4-1.
    Vanderbilt. 4-0. Opponent Houston, 1-4.

Florida State is 13-0 and Auburn is 9-0.

    Who is "Cold".

Oregon State, 0-5. Opponent Boise State, 3-2.
Texas Tech, 0-5. Opponent Arizona State, 4-1.
    Michigan, 1-4 (0-2). Opponent Kansas State 4-1.

I see some real wagering opportunities here. Vandy -2, Bowling Green -5 1/2, Rice +7, and Boise State +2 look very promising.

A problem here: both BG and Boise lost their HC.

Several teams are in that catagory. It happens every year. USC is on their third acting HC this season. This far into the season, it really is not a big deal.

Nice list! The only one that's very misleading I think is UCF. They barely eeked out wins in their last two games, which should have been walks, and they had way more motivation than their opponents did. Loving Baylor here. No team that squeezes out victory from the jaws of defeat against USF this year should stand a chance against Baylor.
