    Default Eastern Mich/Northern Illinois

    Eastern Michigan vs. Northern Illinois

    Both of these teams starting QB's are out for this game so I see it being a low scoring game. This will make it extremely hard for NIU to cover this huge spread. All Eastern really has to do in this game is score one or two touchdowns and they will be able to cover. An interesting fact here is Eastern is 5-1 against the spread in their last 6 games they have played at Huskie Stadium. N. Illinois is only averaging 28 points a game, and E. Michigan averages about 17. N.Illinois just doesn't blow out teams, they're win differential is at 10 points. The only wildcard will be if N. Illinois can run over the defense of E. Michigan which probably will happen, but this should make for a long series, low scoring game. Just because Eastern Michigan is 0-8 doesn't mean they lose by 50 points every game. I see Eastern playing more inspired ball here as they go for their first win of the season. This one will be closer than the experts think as Eastern Michigan stumps this spread.

    Northerns QB was out last week as well when they put up a bunch of points and blew out their opponent.

    a 17 point win in football is always a blow out no?

    My main point was that they put up 27 on a poor team.... but a team better than eastern michigan with the same QB that's playing tonight

    Another in a series of bad games that you guys will have to play because you are addicted to playing every game on T.V. The spread seems to be about right. Eastern Michigan may be the worst team in the nation. NIU should cover this game, but it is MAC game, and teams in the MAC are so bad that anything can happen. PASS.

    i am taking NIU -21 and buying it down to -20.5 -130. Just in case it's by 3 td's. I have no fear that this will cash out. EM is a horrible team....

    I have catapulted into the category of the can't pass up a tv game on a week night to bet on. I think this forum does it to me..

    Haha Well everyone seems pretty confident in this game, so I'd be willing to put up a few points if anyone wanted to challenge me on this game. But anyways good luck everyone.

    EMU is one of the worst teams versus the run, nationally...shouldn't matter who the QB is on No. Ill.

    N. Illinois is a team with a good defense but they can not score. They would not score on anybody as a matter of fact, not even against the empty field... Last week they were struggling big time till the 4-th quarter. Easter Michigan is a disaster, but yet they are better than empty field I don't see N. Illinois covering in that one. They do with though by about 17 points again. If anything makes sense here , it will be under 49!
