I will be leaving Thursday evening heading to Tuscaloosa for the game. I will stay in Birmingham Thursday night and Friday night.


This is my 1st time driving to a bama game!

Whats the hangouts on gameday for good tailgating and what time do you guys advise me to get out there Saturday if I want to enjoy myself and meet some tailgators!!

also I could meet up with some of you guys!

Get there early (probably by 10), and park at the soccer fields across the street from the Arby's on University Boulevard. They have shuttle buses that will take you to the Quad from that location. I don't recommend trying to take the shuttle buses back after the game. It takes forever to get one. Just walk.

After the game, try Buffalo Phil's on the strip in Tuscaloosa. Getting back on the interstate right after the game is rough. Took me about 2 hours after the TN game.

Have fun. It doesn't get any better than Saban vs. Miles.

Enjoy. If this one goes as appears and designed, it may be a 2-0, 3-2, 6-3, 6-4 type game. I like defensive battles and hope this plays out to form.

It usually takes me about an hour and 45 minutes to get to T-town from here. However, I can find you a good high school game closer to where you are if you would like. Birmingham has the big schools with the bigger players. Matter of fact, you will be close to Hoover High of MTV fame. I haven't checked the playoff rosters but can if you would like.
