Tebow threw 2 pick 6's... That's 14 points by the offense (actually 13 because they missed the xtra point). Then another 3 was due to the offense as well. So the defense gave up only 3 points today just like they only gave up 3 points to LSU as well.

UF's defense is as best as they come. The offense has put them in very bad positions and many times now, the offense has given up scores without the defense even taking the field.

Mac is right like always. These are powerhouses who would kill Cinci or Boise. Disregard the sugar bowl last year, Bama is too strong this yr on defense and Fla is awesome. beware of the SEC seeming weak by them taking each other out every week. Power conf. Dont be fooled

Who's not overrated this year?

Any team can lose on any given day. It's winning that counts. There are only a few undefeated teams left.
Bama and Florida have had close calls, but so have Texas (OU), TCU (Air Force), Cinci (Fresno St), Iowa (Just about all of their games), Boise St (Tulsa) who was killed by OU 45-0. Everyone knows when you are a Top team, especially #1 you have a big bulls eye on your back and teams play you tough.

Compared to last year there is no clear top 1 or 2 team. There are a few teams which have a chance to make the BCS Championship game. Without some sort of a playoff we will continue to have this argument year in and year out.

From the way things are playing out it looks like it will be a team from the SEC against Texas, Iowa or USC, but there is a lot of football left to play.

Let me introduce you:
Miss St racked up 490 yards against Houston but only 237 yards against Florida (2 scores on pick 6s).
Texas rack up an amazing 269 total yards against OU, and OU had over 300 against Texas. Had OU not of turned it over a total of 5 times, and finished with their backup QB, Texas would of lost the game.

So as you should be able to clearly see, well once you take off your avatar glasses a win is a win. It's not always pretty, but top teams find a win to pull off a win.
It's clear you are an SEC basher, but at least be prepared to face the facts.

If Cincy or TCU end up playing Alabama or Florida in a BCS game I would bet all of my points and some that aren't even mine that Bama/UF would win. If Bama comes out playing a MWC team again after what happened last season you are going to get a repeat of Georgia vs. Hawaii two years ago. Neither of those two could stay could match a healthy Florida team.

Texas is highly over rated in a very down Big12. Choklahoma should have beaten them and they suck with or without Bradford. There's a lot of parity in football this year and the trend will continue for some time. More than ever we need a playoff.

I think it's more of bad play calling, especialy in the red zone. UF is moving the ball at will against everyone, including LSU but they poop their pants once they get in the red zone. It's unreal how pathetic they've looked inside an opponents 20.

One reason for the problems I think is that Addazio calls the plays and he's the Oline coach. How in the hell do you do both worth a damn? Plus the play calling seems like it comes from a line coach, dive right, dive left, blah, blah, blah. Very vanilla in the trenches type of play calling. Plus he's on the sidelines. He needs to get his ass up in the booth and survey the entire field. I think it's mainly his poor play calling then Tebow trying to do too much and not sharing the ball.

You maybe right as well but I can't verify that. It does seem as if the Wr's aren't getting separation but I could be wrong.

I agree with the original post - Florida and Alabama (particularly the latter) are overrated. SEC is not as strong as in year's past. I like Texas, Iowa, and don't laugh, Oregon. The Ducks are definitely one the best teams in the nation right now and they will beat SC at home Halloween Night.

Alabama and Florida certainly have issues with their scoring offense. Florida doesn't have issues between the 20's just the red zone.

We can debate and argue till the end of time about this but for now we'll just do it for this season, as we have for every other season in the past. When you play in the SEC conference you play at a more physical level on a more consistant basis than in most allother conferences. Maybe ALL other conferences when you talk about week in and week ut of in conference play. Remember for argument sake we are excluding non-conference play here. If you want an example one needs to look no further than some of the contact from the Ole Miss/Arkansas game yesterday. look back at the hitting that was going on in the Florida/LSU game earlier this season. Take a look at any highlights of Alabama this season.

Now on to your question. Florida nd Alabama are deserving of their ranking as is Texas to this point. It isn't that Cincy and Iowa or a few others aren't getting their just due. look where those teams started the season as opposed to where Florida and Alabama started the season. Had all these teams began the season in the top 5 yu might have seen some adjustment. I doubt you would see the top 3 any different though because atleast for Florida and Alabama's sake they are playing SEC football. Not just SEC conference but SEC FOOTBALL. Tha means defense. They both play physical tough aggressive defense. iowa plays good defense but look at the conference they play in and tell me that it an abosolutely even platform. Cincy has a hell of an offense and they certainly play good defense for a Big East team but is the Big East and the SEC on a level field in terms of physicality?

Until either Florida or Alabama lose a game they will continue to earn the position they have in the polls and the BCS and deservingly so. This is yet another prime example of why a playoff is the only true way to establish a National Champion. Even with a playoff though Florida and Alabama would no doubt be top seeds. then we could complain and argue that as well.

Someone will get a chance to replace one of these two teams after the SEC Championship but it's highly unlikely it happens prior to that.
