Talking Why I love South Carolina -13.5 (and why you should too)

Vanderblit @ South Carolina -13.5

Offensive Yardage Advantages (home/away):

* RY : South Carolina
* RYPA : South Carolina
* PY : South Carolina
* PYPC : South Carolina

Defensive Yardage Advantages (home/away):

* RY : South Carolina
* RYPA : South Carolina
* PY : Vanderbilt
* PYPC : Vanderbilt

Overall Record Advantages:

* Win - Loss : South Carolina
* Point Differential : South Carolina
* Schedule Strengh : South Carolina

The second half of the college football season is the time to be more specific in my choices of determining factors to make my selections. I now take into consideration the home offensive and defensive yardage advantages for the home team and vice versa for the road team.

Vanderbilt is showing an advantage in 2 areas. However, the meaningness of these 2 advantages are quickly overshadowed by the fact that South Carolina has played thus far a much, much tougher schedule than Vanderbilt has.

Definently not saying I agree or disagree with your pick as I really haven't looked at this game and have no action, but these numbers don't really show anything...South Carolina is a 13.5 point favorite, isn't it expected for them to have an edge in a lot of categories? Maybe if this line was less than 7 or something then it would be conclusive, but I really don't see the significance in these numbers...
