Default HARRY'S WEEK #8 "TOTAL PACKAGE" (20-9 for the season)

Coming off a nice week where I went 5-0 with my over/under selections. Let's keep it up this week with the following....

OHIO STATE/MINNESOTA - OVER 42-

Can barely remember a team that was under more pressure to perform offensively than this Buckeye squad. Coach Tressel is standing by his beleaguered QB Pryor. Working in his favor (in addition to the encouraging phone calls from Lebron) is the fact that Pryor will be throwing against the 86th ranked pass defense in the country. The Gophers are giving up more than 225 ypg through the air. Both of these offenses will open up their attacks after last week's dismal results. This game goes over the low posted total.

MIAMI/CLEMSON - OVER 43-

Here's another game with a posted total that's easily reachable. Fully realize the weatherman is calling for rain in this one but, come on, this is south Florida. Miami rain ain't like Morgantown rain. This Clemson defense has been pretty good but I fully expect Miami OC Whipple to formulate a plan to exploit it. In a marquee ACC showdown expect Miami QB Harris and Clemson RB Spiller to both have big days. Go north down south.

KANSAS/OKLAHOMA - UNDER 55-

The Jayhawks are averaging 38 ppg this season. Take a look at who they've played though....N. Colorado, UTEP, Duke, Southern Miss, Iowa State, and Colorado. What a cupcake of a schedule! Until today, of course. Enter the Sooners with the nation's #1 ranked scoring D (9.7 ppg), the #4 ranked rush D, and the #7 ranked pass D. And they've accumulated those stats against the BYU's, Miami's, and Texas's of the world. With QB Bradford out again, the Sooners will get this one done the ol' fashioned way. With ball control, clock management, and a defensive shit-kicking! Under!

COLORADO STATE/SAN DIEGO STATE - OVER 50-

Starting to see some signs of life coming from these Aztecs. Last week they put up 28 against BYU. Problem is they gave up 38. The point is they're starting to light up the scoreboard (like they did in the old days) and their defense is generous (like it was in the old days). With no rushing attack to speak of, San Diego State has opted to air it out, and they're averaging over 250 ypg through the air. That won't change today. They're gonna try to outscore the more offensively balanced Rams....and they just might do it. Go over.

LSU/AUBURN - UNDER 52-

The Auburn Tigers started off this season like gangbusters. In their first 4 games they scored 37, 49, 41, and 54 points. Juggernaut. In the last 3 they've scored 26, 23, and then 14 in a dispiriting loss at home to Kentucky. Apparently the scouts have got this team figured out. And the reports read something like this, "Their quarterback stinks." So teams are now anticipating the run. This is the same LSU defense that held Florida (the nation's #4 rushing team) to 13 points. These unraveling Auburn Tigers won't scare 'em. LSU, say 31-14.

As always, best of luck.
Harry

You sure nailed that one.

You know, I went 11-2 on totals last week, and the Miami game was one of my losers. Nice call.
